Hey guys, great news, not sure if you knew it or not, but Yeah, the stinking Commanders dont have a 2nd & 4th next year in 2007 draft!!!!!!! We dont have our 6th round pick that goes to Kansas City for Fujita, but we do have the Jets 6th round pick. joe

Yeah, anything that happens to the stinking Commanders, makes me happy. And i agree they probably will trade their 1st round pick before the 2007 draft.

I still think, with all their bad drafts, they the stinking Commanders bad drafts will eventually catch up to them.

Its a simple philosophy...trade a draft pick or two for a proven talent, or use that pick on a potential bust. One method guarantees you'll get someone who can perform at the NFL level, and one method guarantees nothing.

Joe and the Skins just opt for the safe-bet...and I'm fine with that!

Exactly. I'm totally fine with it myself. Most posters here don't realize it, though, and love to poke fun of pick ups like Lloyd and Randle El. Guys like us already know the history with Gibbs and the FAs he's had the luxury of picking himself. I'd say Gibbs is one of the best in the business at Free Agency.

Who needs the draft when you do this well in free agency?

Not at all. But I can see how someone who roots for a franchise with the history that yours does would be so excited about winning a wild card game. I personally feel that if you don't win the superbowl all winning a playoff game does is buy an extra week or two of practice.
