Yet another future HC candidate... Wade Phillips

Me thinks that someone has started celebrating the "New Year" a tad early.

I watched the "Wade Phillips show" in Buffalo...

Color me less than impressed.

I think the guy is a decent coordinator but as a head coach he's a bit of a buffoon. I can just imagine what fans from the other teams would say about that hire.

Agree, I watched that display in Buffalo and was never particularly impressed. He failed there I don't see how he would be a good HC here.

As a DC I certainly would not mind, but as a HC no way.

I'd certainly wouldnt mind Wade Phillps as our HC. Not only would the team be a top 5 D under him in yards allowed but we would get lots of pressure on the QB which obviously leads to sacks and turnovers. that is the type of coach we need!!!

Sacks????

A defensive is suppose to get sacks???

Who told you this????

:lmao:

Wade Phillips is a very good coach who probably got his first gig a little young and had some problems...a similar guy is Kevin Gilbride, who's continued to be a fine coach but has never been taken seriously since Buddy Ryan slapped him.

I think Wade Phillips would be a good guy, but you can bet we're all whistling in the wind...I'm sure Jerry Jones is going to listen intently to people who will make suggestions to him about coaches.

I do think JJ will have more options now because he's proven he can play 2nd fiddle to a coach, and he's proven he'll spend the money and acquire the players that can win...there are still plenty of "cheap" organizations.

isn't wade phillips the guy who started rob johnson over doug flutie in a playoff game a while ago?

I remember a huge fuss up here when that happened

Ayup.

That's part of the "Wade Phillips" legacy.

I knew his Buffalo legacy would draw your interest, Mikey.

But he DID have the Bills playing some fine 3-4 back in the day.

That defensive team performance sure was not due to Ted Cottrell.

Jason Garret as head coach a Wade as the DC.

Thank you very much !

Well, we all know it certainly wasn't Zimmer that mentioned getting sacks.
