Also remember that unlike in Dallas, there are actual coaches on the other team that can actually scheme and make changes on the fly.

Never liked Elliott from the get go. And now it shows why. Elliotts longest run was 7 yards Sunday night. His numbers continue declining while Pollard is progressing. Elliott will be gone next year being Jerry is tired of paying $14 million dollars per sesaon to a bust RB. Pollard will be done his rookie contract after this season. Betcha a cookie Pollard will get a nice deal w/Dallas while the "Zeke" fans will be rooting for the franchise he goes to.

Maybe but it's no secret Todd wasn't going to let us run the ball. Hell, if we're being honest, a high school coach could have drawn a plan to stop our offense, stop the run, and force Dak to try to beat you with only one top receiver.......who you're taken out.
I think you are wrong. If Todd was trying to stop Zeke he was doing a poor job of it with Zeke averaging over 5 yards per carry. Kellen Moore stopped Zeke!

Your Zeke hate is almost as disturbing as your math skills.

The fact that Zeke had a long of 7 yards in his 10 rushes for 52 yards means he was very consistent with good gains and didn't have a long run to skew his average to make him look better than he actually was. Pollard had 5 rushes for total of 8 yards with a long of 9. Take out the outlier run and Pollard had 5 rushes for -1 yard, or a -.20 yard average versus the 1.3 yard average for the game. Dolt.

Zeke was the best player on the field for the offense Sunday. When Zeke is healthy, Pollard is not in the same class.

zeke made nobody miss. Well blocked plays and he made the yards that were there, showing good paitence and vision.

Pollard had a poor game overall

hardly worth people doing a call out thread. Let’s see over the course of a season

I predict pollard averages 5 ypc and zeke about 4 ypc still

He has his role and it was clear to anyone watching that that is as a change of pace guy to the bell cow guy. He did not look effective as a change of pace guy Sunday night and my gosh the boy can not block to save his life.

No matter how ya wanna spin Zeke's current ability as a RB, he is still one of the best(if not the best) in blitz pickup blocking and Pollard needs lots and lots of practice to ever reach Zekes skill level at this.
Pollard wasn't even a speed bump and got tossed like a rag doll.

Zeke was looking fantastic and Pollard coming in usually led to a negative play or a breakdown in pass protection

ultimately this is on Moore

if you see your star RB averaging 5 yards a carry, don’t ruin the damn momentum.

Pollard HASNT EVER, WILL NEVER be better than Zeke

I was very disappointed in how we used Pollard. It was mainly the same old substitution thing. We did very little with him in the game with Elliott to establish had to watch for the jet sweep. When we put him in motion, we just moved him from one side to the other instead of faking the sweeps to put some pressure on the defense. Don't think we really used him in the passing game at all. It was a waste of his abilities and just more of the same old, same old.

I guess I was hoping that McCarthy and Moore would be creative with how they used him. They almost seem to have the mind-set of some fans, that it's either-or instead of both with him and Elliott.

This is like saying global warming doesn't exist because it was cold yesterday.

We have a lot of data from the previous two years that Pollard is more productive per touch than Zeke. Zeke looked better in week 1.

1 top receiver is not the problem , Porous OL , no other WR can threaten long ball , and the QB cant precision pass short timing routes ( there were. 2 TEs & RB ) … and KM thinking the 1st game game plan will still work

It's time to put our workhorse to work! Feed Zeke! This also takes the pressure off Cooper Rush to be the man.
I agree 1000%. We paid the man. Now is the time to see some return on that investment.

This is very true. Zeke is much more the complete back. Considering how much we are hurting at receiver, it is imperative to have Zeke in there right now as much as possible, just from a blocking standpoint. Pollard is an absolute liability as a blocker. He doesn't have the the physical build or durability to be the bell cow back.

Well, I'm sure happy people are starting to come around about Tony " RAG DOLL " Pollard after he got abused on blitz pickups! This dude would get blown up if he was blocking pee wee football 12 yr olds!
