I feel like this roster needs a complete rebuild. Sell, sell, sell and stock up on picks. Get the cap back and start fresh!
With the worst GM in football making picks. That puts you right back to square one of the same problem.

I would trade for 2 DTs and a RB on rookie contract still. I would build through the trenches and bring back a Doomsday style defense and a heavy run offense. I would bring scouts from Baltimore and Pittsburgh to help us get tough players.

I thought Jerry was gone in this hypothetical scenario? Well then we’re screwed no matter what!
LOl yep. OP stated "imagine you are Jerry the GM." OP is giving the definition of insanity with his post.

You hire a fireball coach like Jimmy, get a legit GM and get out of the way. If you want tours, you hire your old retired superstars and let them entertain the public away from the practice field.

They can “ tour “ the Art Gallery in Arlington . Tours at the practice facility in Frisco during the season is ridiculous .

Simple answer is as The Rock would say - it doesn't matter!
Dak Prescott is the starting quarterback with a no trade clause earning $60 million a season.
As many posters tried to warn others, this will and is already starting to knee cap the team.
It's a hopeless situation.
The best option would be to tank, draft a QB in the first 10 in 2025 and cut Prescott as soon as is reasonably practicable.
What would be Prescott's dead cap hit if cut post June 2025 or post June 2026?
That's the best case scenario but no way JJ admits he made a mistake so it will be rinse and repeat for at least another 4 years.

As a fan all we can do is try continue to enjoy the clown show that is Dak Prescott attempting to play the quarterback position.
When Dallas drafts a quarterback that looks good, park Dak on the bench. If the new qb plays well, tell Dak he stays on the bench until he will accept a trade.
