Longhorns currently playing just a couple of hours from here in the Little Apple. OK that is what Manhattan is called up here. Really. They are pretty fired up and think they knock off Texas. With Snead in at QB you never know.

Man Jevan is bad.

What's even more disappointing is the way the defense is playing.

I don't have a good feeling about this.

Texas' D reminds me alot of the Dallas D. No pressure, very good against the run but why run when the secondary is horribly soft. :banghead:

No kidding...it seems like the air went out of this team once McCoy went down early in the 1st qtr. Longhorns have dug themselves into a hole at the half (21-14) and need to hunker down and regroup before the start of the 2nd half. Snead can get the job done but his offensive line needs to give him better protection if he hopes to have a chance back there.

It's not just the defense. The special teams played horribly when they allowed that huge run after the punt that allowed K-State an easy td on offense to go ahead, 21-14. Especially surprising for a unit that's played so well this season.

The dropoff from Colt McCoy to Snead is rather drastic.

If he can't come back this could be bad for Texas.

Hate to quote myself but it needs to be pointed out that our special teams just blocked a punt deep towards their goal line; allowing for a quick td by the Longhorn's offense. Game's tied up, 21-21.

What exactly is the injury to McCoy? I missed the first half.
On a 4th and goal he QB sneaked in for a questionable TD but really got popped. He came off holding his right shoulder funny and they were checking his neck too. Though he was throing the ball and is still in uniform they aren't bringing him back.

They haven't said how bad he's hurt, just that he won't be back.

That's too bad. His injury happened on a needless play.

And idiotic call at that. I was saying even before the second run, why the heck are they trying to ram it in, without trying to throw at least oncel. Then they go QB sneak twice. Especially when you don't have anyone at QB behind Colt.

Here's what Chip Brown is reporting on the DMN College Blog:

It also looks like QB Colt McCoy will return in the second half after having X-rays in the first half from a hit midway through the first quarter.
