They still have a chance at the NFC East title and potential #1 seed. It's all hands as far as I am concerned just based on those two things. And my lord, will some of you quit worrying about who the opponent is going to be or which quarterback they will face in the playoffs. They are 8-1 at home. Any chance for a home playoff game would be awesome.

The almighty Eagles are a leaking ship right now. Getting Hurts back will help and they can definitely turn it around, but their warts are showing...just like everyone else.

Carson Wentz for the second year in a row choked away a playoff spot. He might be done as an NFL player.:omg:

that’s my thought too. I don’t think he gets another starting gig in the NFL without a major injury to someone

No chance against Wentz.
Agreed. Wentz is setting up the whole NFL world for a 2023 comeback to win his second SB ring while taking the 2023 Comeback player of the year Award. LV over/under odds are set that he mentions Risen Star at 2 separate moments in his ESPY acceptance speech. I'm taking the over!!

Green Bay works in our favor as the 7. They could legit blow up SF at 2 and then have to go to Philly.

We wouldn’t see them until the championship game

I saw one scenario where Dallas could face Green Bay in week one. Absolutely don’t want that.

It’s a bit of a stretch to be honest. Crazier has happened

- NY over Philly
- Dallas over Washington
- Green Bay over Detroit
- Arizona over SF gives Dallas the 1
- SF over Arizona gives Dallas the 2

Here’s why:

1. It is simply not realistic to play 100% of your backups 100% of the time during a game.

2. Sunday has now become Washington’s super bowl. They’ll be pissed and looking to bloody a rival going into the playoffs. The worst thing to do is let off the gas against a motivated opponent (or ever IMO) as it will lead to what you are trying to avoid: injuries.

Best way forward:

1. Rest any legit injured guy
2. Treat Washington as a playoff tuneup. Match their intensity.
3. Play to win. Who knows— the Giants may pull off the unlikely upset.

The mini-bye week was the time to “rest”. Gotta get ready for the playoffs. Get pissed and run over the Commodes on Sunday
Sure play the starters if Dak or CD or Other top players get hurt you will be saying MM is a dummy. Use this game as your bye week to get everyone as healthy as possible

We didn’t rest our starters last year in Philly and they did. We looked amazing on offense and scored like 50 only to go into a shell against SF the following week……

Or rest em and when they are rusty and play poorly in the playoffs blame MM for taking his foot off the gas.

See, both sides can play this game

I think the team being tight and intimidated vs SF had zero to do with Philly the week before or players being fatigued and 100% to do with culture and lack of toughness and grit and a unwillingness to tangle with a bully

Well that’s probably going to happen in Tampa as well. The GOAT yadda yadda. Him getting lots of calls when we hit him etc etc. he will get rid of the ball fast and Fat boy Fournette will get lots of carries as he did in the first game. Having said that if Dak and Lamb play like they’ve been playing we should beat them.

Sure every team wants a first round bye so their players get rusty, there is no both sides imho, the length of the season and injuries is why most teams rest player’s but if you’re ok with a possible injury to a player fine. By your take why would any team want a 1st round bye to rest up and get/keep players healthy .

Hawk I agree that we need to play our starters. But keep in mind Washington was eliminated when the packers won yesterday. Their SB was yesterday and they lost. There’s no scenario remaining where the Commanders can get in the playoffs so they are playing for…pride?
Picks. WAS is 7-8-1 with 8 8-8 teams ahead of them, they could move up in the draft. They have got to be looking for a QB. And maybe a new HC?

You don’t rest the starters.

But banged up guys like Micah need rest, prone players for injury like Tyron need to rest and guys like Lamb and Pollard are limited. I’d get pollard his 12 yards and let him sit
cant carry payer on active game day list for 3 carries, you use him for half then its ok but that wasted spot for 12 yards..stats don't matter, sit him period if that all you are activating him for,..

This team isn't good enough to rest anybody that's not legit hurt.

I kinda want the Eagles to win vs Giants and force the Cowboys to stay fighting.

We saw the Cowboys after a bye week get punched in the mouth by the 49ers.

Not all but like a dozen important core payers yes you do.. you saying we cant beat Washington with Rush, thought he was favored around here.. zeke is washed according to most, pollard injured, malik and Ollison time to step it up. we can approach this like the titans and look how they showed up. exception Washington is not us.

you are correct not all but i see at least 12 if not 16 chis is the entire OLine outside of McGovern we need him to snap the ball at least a half to get used to it.

so my list inactive
Dak, zeke, pollard, lamb, schultz, tyron, Peters, martin, Diggs, parsons, Tank, and Kearse..

active but plays a half

Mcgovern, Furguson, ty , wilson

will be interesting to see what MM decides.

I know one thing most of those player better not pay more than half if they are activated.

what do you mean if the eagles win we can immediately sit everyone. We need them to lose to keep fighting. they have to lose and we have to win.
