I don't know how the Commanders could have trotted him out there yesterday unless Heineke is limited from injury. That organization is more dysfunctional than the Cowboys and I would bet that was not a coaching decision.
Wentz played really well vs the Whiners the week before and Heineken played really bad vs the Whiners.
They Skins thought Wentz gave them a better chance to win. This is understandable.

Green Bay works in our favor as the 7. They could legit blow up SF at 2 and then have to go to Philly.

We wouldn’t see them until the championship game
Or we could win and Philly lose this weekend And we get the Packers.

Man I wish the Whiners had lost to the Raiders.

Most NFL organizations have more issues then the Cowboys. There are only a handful that are better. Jerry and Stephen are celebrities with their radio shows but the last 10 years or so they have developed good football players. Washington is a mess. They are literally a quarterback like Dak away from being a force in the East.
I agree, but think they are a coach away too. Never understood the fascination with Rivera.

Sure every team wants a first round bye so their players get rusty, there is no both sides imho, the length of the season and injuries is why most teams rest player’s but if you’re ok with a possible injury to a player fine. By your take why would any team want a 1st round bye to rest up and get/keep players healthy .

Like the time we had the 1st round bye and NYG came in wiped us out in 2007?

It happens but it doesn’t change what smart teams want or do

The point is simple: resting or not resting makes no difference in a W or L in Jan. There are examples on both sides to make a case either way.

Therefore: Rest the guys that are hurt. Play to win the game this Sun (or any Sun). If you earn a bye week, use it. If you don’t— go in hot and a on a roll and look to run the table.

Injuries are a part of the game. You can’t coach or play scared. Until the division is off the table— it makes no sense to rest the starters.

Rest Parsons, Dak, Zeke, Pollard, Diggs, and Zack Martin for sure. I would have been fine with Dak playing since he already missed games earlier this season but that hyperextended knee he got against the Titans could use a week off.
