You can only choose one FA, Who would it be?

I think Dalton Risner would provide some needed depth on the interior of the line. Another RB or WR would make it hard for guys like Deuce and Gallup to make an impact, so I don’t see us doing that.
I think we all just want a starting caliber LG. However, Risner hasn’t been very good. Still would like him

I’ll say Frank Clark

Is the cap a real thing or fake? serious question because its fluid depending on teams to me sometimes..lol I dont see how you get Hop without him deciding he is ok with a big paycut.

Who would you choose if the Cowboys had the chance/option to get one FA from the remaining top left in the offseason?

We will include likely releases also as a option.

D. Hopkins
Dalvin Cook (if released)
Dalton Riser
Teddy Bridgewater (threw him in for those Dak haters)
Ezekiel Elliot
Kyle Van Noy
Robbie Gould

Honestly, it's a toss up for me between Cook and Gould. Hopkins would be nice, but I don't think he moves the needle that much more than what we have (including Cook). I think we are in good shape at backup QB. Van Noy would be interesting, but I think our defence is set. So, it'd be Cook or Gould. I'd probably say Gould as we need a kicker, and, while I'd like Cook, he's not currently available, and I think kicker is a major issue.

Don't think they have a shot at Cook, will likely be a Dolphin. Risner might be a thought since vet guard would be good and cheap.

They all have either serious question marks or would be too expensive. The only one I see the Cowboys bringing in would be Zeke but only if he agrees to a veteran minimum.

There's been speculation of late that the Cowboys probably wouldn't have to wait for Cook to be released if they were willing to spend 4th and 7th round draft picks for 2024 to attain him. I'd give some serious thought to doing so to avoid another team stealing him ahead of us. It might prove worthwhile.
0.1% chance Dallas gives up two draft picks and over $10 million per year to get Cook.

He's not gonna see anything close to the $20 mil + per year he was getting before.

His contract will be closer to half that, I predict. Even at 50% his previous price don't see Dallas as interested.

Any FA who manages to excel is special, in my book. We've been especially fortunate to have so many who have done that.

They would inherit his 10.4M base salary in a trade.

Much cheaper to sign as a free agent.

Many here are actually sounding desperate to sign him. It's as if it'd be disastrous to refuse it. If that's the case, there's a price to pay. I seriously doubt this FO is willing to take that plunge, though. Of course, if he's cut, another team could beat us to it. I think we'll likely do whatever's most frugal.
