I love the electricity in the air leading up to TC!

This season has a lot less "Broadway, Hollywood" status, and a lot more meat and potatoes feel to it.

I love the comp in the secondary, with Scandrick not buying into Jenkins just being handed the nod as the number 2.

I dont think Scandrick is agreeing to just settle into being the slot corner, although he improves that position elegantly, I like his fire to be the number two opposite T-New.

Dont be too quck to pencil in Jenkins as the #2 just yet, Scandrick may have something to say about that.

Either way this secondary improves leaps and bounds over what we have had there recently.

Henry was a decent corner, but it was time for him to leave, good luck in detroit anthony, this secondary got a whole lot faster and younger with your departure.

So long Roy "I got Paid" Williams.
Have fun in Cincy with your boy Tank, you never lived up to all your hype, and I have two authentic jerseys in my closet that are as worthless as you,,, thanks for that.

This young draft class, will impact the secondary more than any other position IMO.

The additions of Mickens, Hamlin, and Smith will prove to be sound picks in a weak draft, that fit what this defense does,,, dont look into their draft grade as much as what each of these picks bring to the table with their respective talents, and how they immidiately fit into Wades system.

This secondary has the chance to be really special this season, and for many seasons to come, Im really looking forward to seeing how they perform in the upcoming TC's and pre-season.

Anyone else tired of !P!O!T!E!N!T!I!A!L! ?

Hey, I really do like the potential in this secondary, but I'll curb my enthusdiasm until I actually see it happen for real in games that count. Until then, just-potential is not enough for me to get excited about.

Lets see...

He couldnt cover the broad side of a barn with a can of spray paint.

He was never fast, and...

He made a career of being injured.

How is that "exceeding his hype"?

Because he became a game changer. Do you remember the pick 6 he had in the closing minutes to win in phili? Do you remember him laying the wood and bringing that ferocious defensive attitude. He is not a bad player he just did not fit into our system anymore.

Roy lived up to the hype he created for himself the first few years. The problem is he changed and the opposing OCs found ways to attack him. Not to mention the game changed a bit as well. Big hitting safties are being replaced with more cover safties.

I'll wait until I can see it with my own eyes. I've made the mistake of relying on the reports of these "bloggers" before. Mosely, MacMahon and Co. are just reporting what they want to report....and it's becoming painfully obvious.

At this point, I'd love to see some of the reports we got from guys like Grizz and Vela? when they got a chance to view training camp. Much better than what we're getting right now.

I'm feeling this secondary because we've got depth.

In the past when guys have gone down we've counted on Reeves, Davis, Ball, Brown, and a long list of mediocre DBs that got targeted and exploited.

We drafted heavy in the secondary to prevent that from happening again this year.

We must be talking about two diff players.
The Roy that I'm talking about caused all sorts of turnover, big hits etc I mean receivers had alligator arms because of his heavy hitting. If you remember a few years back when the colts came to dallas they were 9-0, well we beat them 21-14 because of roy if i remember correctly he was the one with 2 int both in the redzone.

I'm liking this Defensen all-a-round. I say that cause I trust Wade's scheme.

(IMO) I've always feel that this team never had a Head coach, just 2 Coordinators. Wade on "D", Garrett on "O" and the "O" is what worries me.

I am not getting any hopes up for this Defense. Every season i do and they never live up to the hype. Play Wades cover 4 and it doesn’t matter who you have in the secondary. Easy pitch and catch.

I am excited about Orlando, i think this dude can play. I like the way he plays the game. Jenkins, not so much. I think he is soft until proven otherwise. Newman...has so much freaking talent to be the best in the game. For some reason he can’t take that next step. Maybe injuries, i dunno. And Hamlin is still a loser and whos the other starting safety? Rowdy?

If Newman can improve his hands and stay on the field then yes. I like what we have.

I'll say there is plenty of "hope" from amongst Scandrick, Jenkins, Sensabaugh and the rookies. But I'm going to remain wary until we see things come together.

I hope Newman's toe feels better and he stops putting gravel in his gloves.
