SOMETHING is going to go down in the next 10 days. Maybe it's PacMan, maybe it's Roy Williams, maybe it's Chad Johnson, maybe it's Boldin, maybe it's a trade down or a big trade up or maybe it's something we have not even discussed but I just get the feeling something BIG is going to happen. Jerry has that sparkle in his eye, tone in his voice and there is just way to much smoke in the air for their not to be a fire somewhere.

No i dont. i dont want pacman. and we need to keep all our picks and draft good players. we have done nothing this offseason. no need to make stupid moves now.

I would gladly trade one of our picks for a Roy Williams or Chad Johnson. You know what your getting and there is no quicker way to improve the team.

Or maybe Jerry's bluffing?

I DO have that gut feeling that some other teams are going to pull off a blockbuster trade on draft day that'll knock everyone's socks off.(i.e. Lito-Chad)

He has no reason to bluff about such a thing. What does he gain by hinting at a trade for a vet WR or trying to work a deal for PacMan? I really don't think Jerry making everyone thing he's not interested in a WR is going to cause anyone to drop to 22 and even with that the question remains what WR in this years class outside of maybe Devin Thomas or arguable Malcolm Kelly is worth the 22nd pick?

I posted in another thread that I think this year's situation is more fluid than any I can remember.

I think Dallas could go in a bunch of different directions depending on the opportunities presented.

The could trade up for Dmac.

They could trade for a veteran wideout.

They could trade down for more picks.

They could trade for Pacman.

They could trade some veteran players.

I think the Cowboys are keeping all options open.

True-however, apparently the Titans want too much for Pacman, while the Lions and Cards apparently may want a bit too much for their receivers.(and for that matter too, RW and AB had many other suitors as well)

Other than that-I just can't think of anything Jerry would want to do.

Well I guess I should say were likely to see the Cowboys all over the place because I just can not see Jerry walking away from this draft with all his original picks in place.

Except for the first option, Jerry would be doing nothing wrong.

At least we don't have Andy Reid running our FO-word is that he wants that Vandy OT Chris Williams for his 1st rounder.(Yeah-the guy seems to have a man-crush on linemen in the draft)

the Bengals have spent their last two #1 picks on CB's that they like...I kinda doubt they'd want to take on another one, especially one that is going to demand huge $$$$

HAHAHAHA Lito isn't worth Patrick Crayton let alone Chad Johnson. Besides Chad already expressed his feelings about McNabb because of the whole T.O. thing. Lito is a decent corner but can never stay healthy. The best they get is a 3rd if that. The Bengals have also said they have no interest in Lito or any other corner.
If Chad goes anywhere it will be to Washington or Dallas. But when you make these Chad for Lito comments you sound like a stupid Eagles fan. Them guys swear every player they have is worth a 1st round pick.

I think we will as well but I'm starting to get the feeling it's not going to be till much later this year. I see something developing in June or July.

I actually think that the Eagles trade up to get Williams.

Possibly with Denver who's looking to move out of #12 or with someone who wants Sheppard.

And then I think they come back in round 2 for Vandy's wide receiver Bennett.

Not trying to imply that McNabb will be traded(it's been made clear he's staying put)-However, yes-it looks like Philly WILL have to trade up to get CW(like they did with Andrews a few years back). IOW-what if a team like the Bears(who have a higher choice) tell them, "No McNabb, no trade"? Depending on Reid's infatuation with Williams, he could very well pull the trigger(which is probably why all these McNabb trade talks came about).

No-not trying to start a rumor or anything above, but it could possibly be their best option when all is said and done. Just having fun here.

I think the sparkle in Jerry's eyes and the tone in his voice is probably due to another secret face lift.:p:

Jerry has always got a sparkle in his eye and often times he's surrounded by smoke. :)

I don't think that Jerry has a plan. He's got several plans, depending on how things unfold. He's a flexible thinker who is going to consider lots of ideas and possibilities. That's what makes him good.

FWIW-my coworker 20 something year old showed a sparkle in her eye at me ALL week...However-she's married(and is expecting in a few months), so it could really mean a million things.
