You guys notice Paea in last game?

Watched the replay of the game and he was very active.

Stuffed the run alot.

So glad they released Thornton..

now we might get the pass rush from the outside going as we saw against the Hints..

Observations are helpful here.

I wasn't very familiar with him.

Apparently he played for Marinelli before..that's all I know.

Paea is the prototypical Marinelli player. Good motor. Overachiever. He's a little small for the 1 tech but that works in a "rushman" mentality.

Crawford is still coming back from that bad ankle sprain. Could be wrong on the exact # but think he only played something like 23 snaps. If Moore and Irving weren't suspended Crawford probably doesn't even play

This also reinforces the belief that Marinelli and the FO just don't want to spend top resources on 1 techs. They think they can get guys cheap off the street to fill that role. They may be right this year with Paea.

Seems like a solid player in this defense. I too saw him in a lot of plays. Honestly I dont care how much they say the Giants suck, the starting D has looked good in every game from the first snap of pre-seaon. Hitting hard and flying to the ball. Until proven otherwise, this defense is looking better...

He didn't do squat his entire time in Dallas, that's what got Thorton cut

Set the record for bench press reps at the combine. He should be able to get some good push inside. Good to see Rod working that magic once again.

I like Paea, but let's not get too excited, the Giants are a bottom 10 rushing team at best. However, we are going to play a lot of poor rushing teams this year. Washington, NY Giants, GB and Denver are all poor.

He got to the QB before DLaw did and should have been credited with at least a half a sack.

Paea was active in that game.
In fact, the defense as a whole has added some pieces and seems faster to the ball.
Not ready to say they are great yet, but one doesn't have to go back very far to remember the nick Hayden's, jack Crawford's and George Selvies holding down the fort.
The return of D Moore and David Irving should add more juice to this unit as well

I think TCraw still has a tender ankle, not 100% yet. Give him a few weeks to see any improvement. Won't write him off yet.
