The thot of several million Skins fans having a happy Christmas with their pathetic team in first place.

As immoral and dirty as it makes me feel, I gotta pull for the Eagles this weekend. Its the best thing for the Cowboys. Let the Eagles win the division so Chip keeps his job.

The best Christmas gift for us Cowboys fans this year is another year of Jay Gruden & Chip Kelly in the division.

While I'd rather we be in first, it's not all bad. It wasn't another season filled with hope till the very end just to be crushingly disappointed, as the season was over week two. And we likely will get a top 5 draft pick which will make for a very interesting off season.

As for the Skins being in first, if we aren't on top, I really don't care who is...and it's not like they're going to win the Superbowl.

I don't begrudge the Skins in this respect. Gruden is doing a good job with the tools at his disposal and Danny appears to have stepped away from the action in some respects, which has helped. Will be interesting to see how we match up next year....

Let the Commander fans have their moment, its all fools gold. By winning the division they get a worse draft pick which in the long run weakens them, they get a harder schedule next year which weakens them and we get to watch and enjoy when they get drilled 43-3 in the first round of the playoffs, dejected and humiliated they go home having their hopes and dreams crushed all because its all FOOLS GOLD. Aint no one in the NFC East any good. Just my opinion, but suck the best and get the worst record possible and the best draft pick possible and retool over the off season and have a real good next year as a real team, no more fools gold.

Commanders are in first place because the Eagles and Giants suck, and we didn't have Romo at QB, and Dez for a good part of the season. Period.
We would be in 1st place or would have won the division by now if not for that. And I will never be convinced otherwise.

Yes, D let us down in 7 games and we lost them, but with Romo in there, we may not have been in those situations.

The only good thing about the Eagles beating the Commanders. It puts the Eagles at 7 wins and assures us a better draft pick if we win the last 2 games. Eagles will pick below us.
It also makes the Eagle / Giants game mean something, as well as the Commanders / Cowboys. I would love to see us knock them out of the playoffs, even it it means Giants or Eagles win it. At least that will be something to feel good about the season on an ending notes.
It may cost us from going from slot 6 to slot 10, but it will be worth it.

I hope the skins win it. No way do I want Murray to go to Philly, win the division, and suit up for a playoff game. Let the skins lose in the 1st round, pick in the 20s, have to pay an inconsistent Qb $100 million, and get a 1st round schedule next year. Meanwhile, with a healthy Romo we are a much better team, will have a top 5 pick, and a last place schedule. As disappointing as this year was, next year could be something if Romo stays healthy and they find a RB.

Actually, the one good thing about the Cowboys' season is their fate is already decided. We have had time to accept that fact. The other NFC East teams however are still clinging to hope that they will win the division. At least two of those team's fans will be disappointed when that doesn't happen. Even worse, the fans of the one that does win will be disappointed after the first playoff game when they lose.

Exactly right. This doesn't bother me at all. The winner of the division this year is the real loser because all 4 teams aren't good enough and need roster upgrades. The division winner can't compete in the playoffs and will have less draft capital to upgrade.

So Go Commanders. Win that division. We'll see you in the draft order after wild card weekend. Look up when you get there. Way up. That's where we'll be.

I still say if there's one team in this division that could get hot and make a run it is the Giants. Not the Commanders and not the Eagles. But that isn't a very likely scenario.

What really bothers me is that I ran out of Evan Williams eggnog and the ABC store is closed today. Shows lack of planning.
