You know what would REALLY suck?

Crabtree, Smabtree.

We need an offensive line and a true nose tackle along with guys who play with fire and determination.

When will teams learn you build a team inside out not outside in.

Would it be extreme to say this team is rotten to the core, from Jerry on down, and there's no saving it?

Probably.

I said it before the trade, and I'll say it again. Roy E. Williams is soft, and he can't get off a jam at the LOS. We gave up way too much for a big creampuff Detroit throwaway. This whole team is creampuff.

I know, I know. My point was we gave up a 1,3,6 for a WR when we could have just given up a 1 for a WR (that could end up being pretty good).

I said long before the trade that I don't think we even need another WR. I like the young talent on the team.

If Crabtree drops that far than there was a reason he fell that far and we most likely wouldn't have took him anyways.

We got a really good receiver. It was a smart move for now and the future.

Did we?

Once again here is a thread about a guy that has not played one down in the NFL and yet he is coveted more than a guy that played and has been to a pro bowl.

The list of players that have done little to nothing in the league but are held up as the answer by fans is astounding.

It all boils down to hope. My hopes of a guy who I like versus a guy that has been in the league.

I think back over the years i have been traveling the internet and talking Cowboys and out of all those years the only player i can recall EVER to show up and deliver on misguided hope is Romo.

Not Quincy

Not Randall Williams

Not Woody Danzler

Amendola

Hambrick

Julius Jones

Billy Davis

the list goes on

tl;dr, any one got the clif notes?

There is no "suckiness" left in this Cowboys team. Jerry makes sure of that.

I agree with Catch. If our pick is high enough to get Crabtree, I think we'll have more fish to fry than to lament missing out on one single guy.

Or pretty bad. But betting on the come seems to be some people's stock and trade.

I will take a 26 yr old probowl WR over a 1st round rookie WR that could be a bust.

It was a smart trade to make, we now have a legit #1 WR to play opposite TO.

Wasnt all the talk on this board last week about how the coverages were rolling to TO and our other receivers could not beat their 1 on 1 coverage???

Now we have a WR threat opposite TO and some of you guys are now saying we really didnt need it after all???

Well which is it???

Next year's draft, the Lions are on the clock with the pick we traded them...

and since the team is playing like crap it's actually a decently high pick (I'm hopeful we won't finish TOO terribly this year)

and sitting there for the taking will be Michael Crabtree.

Yes, that would really suck.

I know, I know... "But Roy is a proven player" yada yada yada. I'd rather take my chance spending ONE first on Crabtree instead of a first, third and sixth on RW11.

I like Roy and think he has potential to really be a big time WR, but his game is far from complete and he needs to really work on his route running to be elite.

Or even a worse case scenario, we end up tanking the season (like we wish Cleveland had done last year and Buffalo a couple of years before, but they screwed us) and some elite offensive or defensive lineman would have been there for the taking.

I think we overpaid for RW11 (not by A LOT, but a little more then I would have liked to give up for him), but it'll be a lot worse if that pick ends up in the top 10.

Ah man... I think I'm gonna be sick.

*happy thoughts, happy thoughts*...

it doesnt bother me...we made a move we needed to make and got a very good player...you cant what if everything to death...
