You saw Newman's weakness tonight

I remember plenty of games when Deion was in his prime when he would get scorched but receivers, given most of the time Sanders was in man but if you are in a Cover 2 scenario and you don't get the safety help when you pass him off thru the zone not much you can do because if T-New had followed him and a guy caught the TD in the area he just left I think T-New would have been skewered by BP. In football you rely on your teammates and you play as unit you cannot be all over the field trying to cover for someone elses blown assignments especially if your AREA gets exploited after you leave.

So I will offer a piece of advice either watch the game and make moronic comments like you never played before, or watch the game as an analyst try and see that there is more to the game then what you can see on the screen. Football like any other sport, 80% of all TD's are scored on mistakes whether it be a blown assignment, suckered by play action, or just a bad read. Whether you believe it or not the talent level is pretty equal, with that being said no is perfect and that is why mistakes are made.
No no no no no no...ya didn't Deion did NOT get scorched plenty of times....his worst performance was on MNF v.s. Irvin where Mike took him to the cleaners on the "HARD SLANT!" for the tune of a buck 70 ...
OTHER THAN THAT - Deion gave up receptions - but he was rarely ever scorched as you so deemed...
And when he did get beat - he basically gave up on the inside route ala T-New.

dude this is a game of mistakes. whoever makes the least usually wins, and besides the slant is probably the hardest route in football to cover ya dope

Henry and Newman got toasted on consecutive plays, so I guess our starting corners have been 'exposed'? That's what happens when you don't blitz a Brad Johnson, he will pick you apart.

Lets see Rice, Galloway, Ellard, Sharpe all have beaten Deion plus a few that didn't have the name. Deion was good but to say he never got scorched is ridiculous, the teams that played against Deion often had better success then teams that played against him every so often. Deion would get beat on slants, posts, crossing patterns, anything that took him into the middle of the field, he made his living picking off weak passes to the outside like the out and the corner route.

Speaking of Dieon. I hated that ******* when he played for the NIners!. Holy crap his cocky attitude along with that other guy( long neck lol )made things difficult.

I was happy once he became a Cowboy. The Niner fans were Pissed!.

Youe seen alot of cover 1 being played. If you watch that play again, Newman let him inside expecting the safety help, which wasnt there. Newman will be fine. On the other hand which we all knew is that A. Henry doesn't have alot of speed, and needs safety help over the top. He is very good on short routes and when the safety is over top, he play the underneath well.
