You see what they did, right?

They heard the complaints that they weren't active enough in FA, so they went out and signed a bunch of JAGs early. Now they will come out and tell us that complaints about them not being active was silly and stupid.

But they are misinterpreting what people were saying. Active in terms of getting in on quality FAs early.

It was always quality over quantity. In other words, if they signed two really good FAs early that's better than signing 6 JAGs early. But that's what they have done here and think they've bucked the whole not active claim.

They still don't get it.
A lot of teams are doing the same, including the vaunted defending champions. It still comes down to building the best roster from here on out, good coaching and key players staying healthy to be competitive.

I don’t care much for the way Jerry Jones runs his NFL franchise, but the FO is obviously considering the team’s needs. That’s a healthy start.

Read this list......... it seems their new strategy is to focus on busted players drafted fairly high and hopefully hit on a few. Not bad as long they use it in perspective and do NOT try to use to build but supplement. This league is loaded with B players hungry to prove themselves ....... I can see taking a low risk on 5-6 players per year. High reward-low risk......

I like their strategy.

Fowler was the best signing.

Now if you had signed Fowler and then say Poona Ford to play alongside Osa and that was your start to FA?

Would be much better than what we have now.
We should have traded for a Cooper Kupp.

Someone tell me a quality free agent we missed out on that wasn't massively overpaid I'll wait

It's different but we can be malcontent anyway. The players they got already suck! Syd has figured out the future!

No "splash" signings but at least they tried.

I mean last year the free agent haul was Zeke, Royce Freeman, and a lucky Eric Kendricks who first agreed with the 49ers.

Not all 9 players they picked up so far will even make the final 53 in my opinion, but more help is here than in 2024.

It's a good thing Stephen got his max of 4 comp picks.

Do you really think they decide what they do because we the fans have an opinion ?

They have a "plan" and they are convinced its a good one. So they follow it.
Everything they do is because they think its the best way to build a contender.

But of course it is not. They do a lot of crap because they are incompetent.

The "plan" they have is not a plan. They following stuff other HCs did in the past and they try to copy/past it. Becasue they dont understand the fundametals of how to build a successful franchise.

This is the same bargain budget losing strategy that it has always been. We let even more talent walk and then sign guys who didn't pan out on other teams. Maybe they are trying to tank for Arch or something.

I agree with the OP's premise...

Only issue is...when the accusations get too real...the system has to flip the script to kill naysayers.

This isn't real...it's about milking. That's why this galaxy is called the milky way...it's about lying to milk for as much profit as possible.

When the heat is too strong, the mask is pulled off.

I assume the Cowboys will have some success to tamper the rumors and keep the lie going

the die hard fans understand what you say. the ardent fans get it. but the casual and average and fringe fans don't. they get excited. Jerry is doing it for them, not the die hards that know these guys are just bunch of jags.

Not even close to getting it.

Betcha a nickel that Jerry has no clue why Morris Claiborne and Escobar didn't pan out. Not to mention Mazi.
