I had never seent a picture of said Jackie Battle before going to camp on Saturday. Imagine my surprise when I see this guy #32 running as the 4th RB... and he's white. I'm like wth is that?? I find my roster, and it's Jackie Battle. I don't know, maybe I'm racist, but I assumed that he was black. And with the name, who could blame me?? That name just sounds like a big bruising RB/FB.
Not that it matters. But he's black. Just redboned

I would not be happy when a practice squad RB runs over the starting safety in practice. These guys need another team to hit.

There is no way in the world I would want TT to leave. However, if Hamlin can crack some heads like Moose, lets put him on the PS an nurture him. A bigger version of Rock Cartwright?

Hamlin?

I hope Hamlin is starting in the secondary.

We have to keep JB.. we could put him on the PS or he could play FB this season.. he has the strength of a FB and is waaay faster than a FB

IF Battle shows too much in preseason, then a team would pick him up on waivers like they told Parcells last year about Austin and Hurd, when 2 GMs told him, if he cut either one of them, they would pick him up in a heartbeat.
So, I am thinking more and more, they might just keep 2 TEs, and let Fasano be a backup like extra fullback too. Then, what they can do is keep Thorn or that other te or Hannah on practice squad, if something happens to one of our TEs.

Just to me, if Battle runs like that in preseason, he wont last on waiver wire, he will be picked up, just remember we cut Green twice, and he got picked up by Bengals, that needed players.

I def. agree with your post. What I don't understand, is why would a GM show there hand like that? That statement eliminated any possibility of the Cowboys moving the players to the PS. Who know is they needed to add a player to the roster they might have thought they could sneak one of them onto the PS (I know considering how they performed in preseason it was unlikely but you never know).

Yeah it shocked me too when I saw him bowl over someone on the news, I was like , whoa.

But I don't know if there's anywhere we can stash him, I guess we could gamble and hide him on the PS, but like someone else suggested, maybe we can make him a FB, and he can actually play that, he can be an Allstott type, a guy that can block and run over folks. (BTW, the correlation to Allstott wasn't because he was white also, it was because he runs over folks) :)

FB Jackie Battle stalemated him when Spears cut inside the line. I shouldn’t be too hard on Spears because Battle had an excellent practice and appears to be making a push for a roster spot. His blocking is getting notice and he ended the practice and Ken Hamlin’s day with a vicious goalline collision. Battle caught a pass at the five, cut away from a linebacker and collided helmet-to-helmet with Hamlin at the one.

Battle rolled into the end zone and Hamlin took a minute to gather his wits. He walked unassisted to the locker room but had trainers trailing him as a precaution. The Cowboys cannot afford to lose Hamlin right now. Their safety depth is questionable.

I took this from Vela report......but, he was helped from the field.......Vela missed that one

I thought I read somewhere that Hamlin walked off the field and to the training room on his own, with trainers following behind him as a precaution.

That's all we'd need: Hamlin with a head injury from somebody that might not make the squad.

:bang2:

Hamlin didn't practice today either.

Good on him...he needs to chill a little too.

Strange things are going on around this team...strange good things.

Are you really sure it's rust? Or have you been watching dirty movies while you eat Cheetos?

Oh, I misunderstood you! I thought you were talking about wood...which does not have rust!

I'm confused, as usual...you make some of the most confusing statements!

Hammered Moose turds?
