Quite possibly the best 'in the box' safety in the league & one of the most secure tacklers in the league. He would've certainly helped in the run game & shutting down Cook tonight, I think it was a mistake not giving up a 1st and two 2nd round draft picks for this guy.

He did some Houdini **** on "Danny dimes" today & won that game for the jets.

I would have settled for a safety who at least suits in the second round. Over a fat, lazy, defensive tackle who doesn’t even get on the field.

Didn't they want two ones? That's too steep...

We can't keep trading first round picks every year to stock up on All-Pro talent and mask the ineptitude of our coaching staff.
You guys can blame the coaches all you want but this game was 100% all about missed tackles. If grown men can't tackle - I don't care how good your coaches are.

Plus do you think some late first round pick and late second round picks are going to even start on this roster? You give up the bullcrap to get the all-pro.

I wanted him. You don't hold back during your all-in year.

They're called "Play-Makers and we have very little of those....

If you're relying on a safety to shut down the running game you've got bigger problems than just missed tackles.

Part of the reason we got gashed is because of this fraudulent interior d-line our crack defensive coordinator has assembled.

What does the interior DLine have to do with getting gashed by sweeps and screens all game? Adams in the box clamps that crap.

We got gashed by everything all game. Cook rarely got touched by anyone until he got to the second level. Adams helps but he's one guy, a very good one guy, but still one guy. We've got fundamental problems with the scheme, personnel and coaching that one guy can't fix.

Safety isnt what kept getting gashed in the run game. so nah, I'll keep those two first round picks and zak martin

Yes, exactly, do people expect Adams to cover the entire field? He'd help, probably, but teams would just run one of their good receivers, or their best receiver in his area, and while he's "shutting down" that guy some other runner or receiver on the other side of the field would go crazy for 150 yards and 3 tds, or such.

One player isn't going to fix this team, don't care who he is. Give up 3 early picks, and what do you do if T. Smith retires? Or Frederick? Or Cooper wants too much money and leaves? Or Dak doesn't get better, or do the job? Going to find their replacements in the third round? It's possible, but I don't trust this staff to do that. Their 3rd round pick the last 5 years has only Gallup as a really good player, otherwise you have the famous Chaz Green, Anthony Hitchens (4th round but the third pick that year) Jourdain Lewis and Terrance Wiliams. Gallup may turn out very well, but none of the others are at the level of an Adams.

The ONLY hope this team has is to hit on more first rounders and DTs in the first round, but even that's faint hope, takes years to stockpile those guys and you lose other top player before the new guys all take the field and become top players...
