Why is no one talking about bringing this guy in? Lack of HC experience? I honestly dont even care.

Lets try something different. This hurts Philly big time, and also brings in a guy who knows what the trenches are. Look at his resume before you come after me.

Can he be a HC? I dont know. Is he worse than freaking the betting favourites right now?

While this isnt a sexy hire. Its one that shows that football is number one in Dallas and not headlines. Its outside the box but hey, at least pick his brain and bring him in as an OC. Whats the worst that could happen?

Because Lurie will out-pay Jerry

After the 2022 SB, teams were asking to interview him for OC positions, so Lurie just gave him a raise to what he’d be paid as an OC so he wouldn’t leave

The fact that McCarthy was only making somewhere between 4-7m$ means Jerry likely pays even less for a first time HC, and that wouldn’t be unreasonable to pay for the best position coach in the NFL

If I am Jerry. Pay what it takes. Have the freaking conversation at least!

He's not an idiot he wouldn't come here

Eagles puke. Disregard.

We actually do the same with assistants. Quinn and Moore got big raises and werent making much less than McCarthy. The Jones value coordinators and assistants more than they do Head Coaches

Jerry and Stephen are as cheap as it gets. They wanted McCarthy to work on a incentivized basis with no job security. They aren't outpaying anyone

Screaming into the night is what Twitter is for.

I dont think Stoutland has ever gotten a Head Coaching interview anywhere. It's likely he is either seen as a Head Coach type, or has no interest in being a HC.
Did McVay get an interview before he got one?

No. No one gets one until they do.

McVay was a coordinator for two years and was in his early 30's

Stoutland has been an OL coach for the Eagles for 11 and is in his early 60's

Its not even a remotely relevant comparison. Pretty much the moment McVay become known, he got a head coaching job. Stoutland has been a known quantity for years

So you would prefer Moore? Or Schot?

Id prefer you to them, and I dont like you

But thats not what I am talking about. Im telling you that the either the NFL has no interest in Stoutland as a Head Coach, or Stoutland has no interest in being a Head Coach.

Jerry may not be the brightest bulb in the marquee, but Stoutland‘s never even been in OC in the NFL. Seattle made a run at him a few years back to be their OC and the Eagles just paid him more than the Seahawks offered him. Jerry is not in a position to gamble on making a 62 year old with no history of even running an offense in the NFL a head coach. That guy is on his third Eagles head coach and will be working for a fourth. Probably next season.

You think Philly will fire Sirianni for making the NFCCG and possibly further?

I think that team will do what it thinks it needs to do. Lurie, like Jerry Jones, is up in years and has to believe his team should be winning Super Bowls. When is the last time Philly kept a coach on the final year of his contract? They won’t go with a lame duck head coach because it’s a stupid thing to do if you’re trying to win. You think they extend Sirianni if he doesn’t win the Super Bowl? You know that team better than anyone else here.
