... We know and they know. When Zeke got paid $$$$$, his stats became lower as years went forward. Instead of keeping pace, he declined.
I know he instilled some injuries, but the offset has been greater than expected.

Chargers RB, Austin Ekeler, now concerned with stigma, of whats seem to be occurring with RB's around the league Also take note of Barkley situation.

Using the franchise tag on them. Might be route to go.

Eklers scoop about it: RB Stigma
That’s called getting old.

No coincidence when he broke into the league, he had an All-World OL....by the time he got extended the line began to deteriorate and so did he. Guess he got exposed. TP broke more plays behind that same OL. There's a reason he still looking for work.. Good riddance.

Gotta lot of hits on that frame.

It’s ok to get old.

Torn PCL in 2021 and the hyperextended knee last season will slow down any RB.

He was great on his rookie deal.

His extension was a disaster. It’s not that difficult to google in case you were in a coma for the last three years.
So Zeke should play his career on a rookie contract?

Poor Jerry.

These 27 or 28 year old running backs need to stop their whining and crying and start doing something that will actually benefit them.

Like learning about the insurance sales business so they can start preparing for their next career.

If they saved their money, they won’t have to work.

5% return on 1 million is 50k a year.

Thats easy money.

Some of them are broke already though.

I think there is a difference with a rb, say a zeke type that gets positive yards but never really breaks long runs and seems to go down surprisingly frequently after contact, and an explosive weapon/ playmaker (pollard type). Note statistically i believe pollard was more effective inside the tackles too, stuff like broken tackles, yard after contact…

Then you have a few combos like Henry or Chubb that just do everything. I personally believe pollard falls in that weapon category and those rbs are of a different value than the run of the mill replacement ones.

Doesn’t mean you break the bank, but also don’t underestimate his impact imho

The guy morris who played rb for wash, he drove a used car he fixed up, lived simple and saved all his money.
He probably had 3 mil or so in the bank at retirement.
