With this rule change and the OT rule change, we will miss out on games like the ones highlighted in this video I made back in 07.

Just check it out and see if you still think these changes would be best for the game.

In theory, couldn't a player just take his own helmet off and force a whistle to be blown. Sure, they'd get hit with a 15 yard unsportsman like conduct penalty, but it'd be worth it if a play had already gone 20+ yards.

Why would they do that when they could just lay down or step out of bounds?

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I was talking about a defensive player taking his own helmet off, in order to stop the play.

Turning into a sissy league.

except for the fact that there are hundreds of ex football players living the final years of their lives barely able to walk or speak. Every year we see 5 or 6well known ex players deaths make the news and they are always like 58 years old or 62 or something like that. You rarely ever see a 90 year old ex player. They are like boxers. They have bad hips. arthritis, many are punch drunk, etc, etc, etc. I think it's good to shed this macho b.s. that so many people cling to.

You rarely see a 90 year old ex football player because the NFL hasn't been around that long genius.

Also I disagree with this you just don't hear about the older players. One of the dudes that was the QB for the NY Giants back in the pre super bowl era was on the radio a couple of months ago.
