Romo - 27
Jones - 26
Barber - 24
Hoyte - 23
Owens - 33
Crayton - 28
Colombo - 29
Davis - 29
Gurode - 29
Kosier - 28
Adams - 32
Witten - 25
Spears - 24
Ratliff - 26
Canty - 24
Ellis - 32
James - 26
Ayodele - 28
Ware - 25
Henry - 30
Newman - 29
Williams - 27
Hamlin - 26

Only four starters are 30 or older, two of which have talented young replacements waiting in the wings (Ellis and Adams). And we have two first round picks that could be spent on a WR and a CB.

Can't get much better than that.

i'd just like to add that the way owens keeps himself in shape is amazing. hes a freaken monster, i think hes capable of playing at a very hight level up to atleast 36. 3 more good years outta him.

but man, our future does look very good with these guys. hopefully everything keeps on 'gellin' together.

He doesn't have much wear and tear on his body. He'll be here through another full contract, which is about all you can expect of any player.

T-New turned 25 early in his rookie season. He came out late and lacks the wear and tear of most NFL 29 year-olds. Body like 26.

We've got a window of 3 years tops before too many of our players hit 30. Now we can extend their life by bringing in a new young RB, WR & CB in 08 - that probably takes care of our 2 first rounders & 2nd rounder. Wouldn't be surprised if we spent our 3rd rounder on a quality ILB if one fell to us. Now if we don't re-sign Crayton & concern continues about Glenn, we could also go after a good young WR in FA who can step in immediately.

I'd wager Newman could be with us for another 6-7 years...barring significant injury.

We're not as young as we think. We have 4 starters 30 or over. Next year, we'll have 4 more starters turning 30 and 3 more turning 29.

That's why we need to do a good job of finding young replacements in the draft and FA.

Maybe so, and it stands to reason that we need to do a good job finding youth in the draft, but I believe we are still in the lower 1/3 of the league in terms of overall age IIRC...so yeah, we are as young as we think.

We do, however, need to address our age at the WR position.

WR and CB are the two areas where age is a concern. BUT as has been mentioned TO is probably good for at least 2 or 3 more years so no immediate NEED there. Glenn of course we really have to worry about. Crayton is a good #2 but I think someone will wave a pile of money at him and he is gone. Hurd and Austin frankly I do not think are ever going to be more then #3 guys. stanbeck is the wild card. He has to show next year that he can be a #1. I think we do not make any big moves on WRs this coming year in order to see how things work out. We might sign a FA burner to a not very big contract if it looks like Glenn is done.
CB: I agree newman should be good for several more years at least. Henry is the concern- he keeps getting injured and will start slowing down and its not like he is a burner anyway. Reeves to me just does not look like he can be a top #2; I think he is a very good #3 but an average #2. We need one more top CB. either a pick or a FA. FA cbs are VERY expensive so I think we go draft there.

Not worried about 29 year old O linemen- who often do not hit their peak untill 30 anyway. All of them should be playing very well into their mid 30s- AND the longer a line is together the BETTER they play.

Other than the fact that H**** is 31.

Also, he's not a starter much these days.

Reeves has started every game this season, and he's 25.
