Decent talent acquired at Edge. I also like the Winters trade.

4th round was underwhelming. I thought there was much better value to be had there.

Hoping we trade for Brooks to round out the defensive overhaul

Was Mesidor really better? Has an injury history, didn't really break out until his final year, and really benefitted from having Ruben Bain opposite him.

I think Malachi Lawrence is downgraded by many because he didn't play at a school known for it's football prowess.

If we had drafted 7 blind/one armed players, Jerry would still sell this as 7 future All Pros. He could sell sand in the desert.

Then we already have a better edge rusher than Mesidor since Donovan Ezeiruaku had 16 sacks his last season in college. Since we're scouting off a stat sheet.

I would have preferred Messidor with the caveat that I have not seen much of Lawerence . I have seen Messidor and like what I saw.

Apparently Lawrence has a high ceiling of potential and has my support moving forward . Draft gets a B because of that. Downs is A+++

Mesidor was off the board when they drafted Lawrence.

I did really like the Overton pick based on what we're expecting of him, to play 3-4 DE. I wasn't too keen on the offensive tackle or cornerback. There's a couple other corners I would have preferred.

Overton wasn't going to make it as a 4-3 defensive end. If he can keep or get his weight up, though, he's a strong run defender with some pass rush potential on the inside.

Getting Downs is awesome. The next two guys make the defense faster. The 4th round was a **** show.

I have no grade, but I can’t complain. The defense has been addressed six out of eight picks this year and still have 1st-3rd picks in the 2027 draft.

Hoping for another LB and a RB for depth before the season starts.

If the Cowboys had a 2nd round pick, I bet they would have drafted that McCoy kid from Tennessee, with the knee injury. That's the way Jerry rolls.

I don't feel qualified to judge that one either way. We got a pass rusher there and passed on a pass rusher to do it. Lawrence has the measurables. Mesidor has the better numbers and the more refined repertoire.

I liked getting the two fourth-rounders for moving down, but if Mesidor is a much better player then it wasn't worth it. Dallas seemed to hone in early on Lawrence and seemed poised to take him at 20 if it couldn't trade down, so I hope someone in that room knew what he was doing.

i will give this draft a C+. i can not believe the cowboys drafted another michigan player and a defensive tackle who is not suited to be a 3/4 defensive lineman. also the wr is just a practice squad player or maybe be special teams player at best. the only one that are great picks is downs lawerance is good pick.

well i feel the same way about lawrence. can he really play in a 3/4 scheme or is he better suited as a 4/3 defensive end.
