Your Dallas Cowboys after Jerry moves on.

And I think most would be fine with this. Let football people run football. That also includes managing the cap because obviously they are lost at doing so.
True the only real hope we have is that when JR takes the reigns he will have a board of investors of sorts in the siblings...who knows in what capacity but right now Jerry answers to no one..

I think he's useful on rare occasions like the Lance situation you mentioned. But largely he's not front and center like before. That would be booger jr and McClay.
I would disagree 'rare occasions' as minimizing his overall influence. Jones remains the final decision maker in football affairs. He inserts himself into daily meetings and practices too frequently as a demonstration of his authority.

He can still override a front office decision (i.e. roster acquisitions) that may be beneficial. His overhanging persona is a distraction for players and coaches alike. Just my opinion but I do not see him being a token rubber stamper.

Have you not labeled other members (or at least one other member) as being jealous of Jerry or any of the Jones family's efforts in the past? I apologize in advance if I have recalled that incorrectly.
When it is evident I most definitely have. Thx

Exactly, and that's why I have concern for what's next after Jerry. I am concerned about what Stephen does with the team next.
After Jerry departs for that fiery furnace that awaits him, I can see nothing holding the Jones bunch back from completely pulling a Thelma an Louise on the team. Pushing the team over the cliff with them if you will. Aren't we seeing a glimpse of this already? Just look at the all in crap last year. Then the air quote stuff by Stephen. You can see it if one opens their eyes fully. If they can't have the team and get a SB, no one can .

Exactly, and that's my point. And, when the money dries up, they wouldn't lose any sleep over moving the circus elsewhere.

Dude, you seem stressed, take a nap.

I know people want to see this happen. I would too but it is extremely unlikely to ever happen.

It is more likely Stephen Jones will hire someone to manage football operations. Perhaps he will end up doing the same managing other areas of the franchise as well.

He knows he is not his father. It is unlikely he will continue to run the franchise according to all the cliff notes he has jotted down through the years. He is not nearly the salesman as his Pa and will be incapable to talking his way into the same type of lucrative deals, sponsorships, etc., that fell into his father's lap.

No one will ever see Stephen's CGI hips gyrating in a Papa Johns' pizza. It is not in him. He can barely sell stadium rodeo shows as entertainment.

It is more likely he will be a more hands-off owner. There is too much defective DNA in him to step completely out of the limelight.

He will never stop pretending to be just like his Daddy Dearest, which is why selling the team will not happen. All the kids are billionaires. Dude is (I guess) a chemical engineer. He became super-wealthy without doing any real work. Why the heck would he give it up the opportunity to make billions more doing the same after becoming head honcho?
I think we agree.
He can own the team but hire a real GM to do the work of running the team.
I don't think he wants the heavy criticism that would come his way once the Campo years come again.

confirmation.
I'm in??????? Oh my gosh, greatest day of my life!! Finally!!!!!!

No disrespect intended DE, I learned how to take people's post and delete what they actually said, to make it what I want it to say from someone very special on here!! Sort of like literary theft!!!
