Jazz Butcher -- got into him years ago b/c a member of Bauhaus was in the band. Not jazz themed or related to it at all.

Bonnie "Prince" Billy. Legendary in some circles, is not making some great country albums. Had a song on one of the later JC American Recordings CDs

Okkervil River -- actually just did a set on ACL, so these Austin natives are getting a bit more known.

Art Brut -- great, funny, sad.

BTW folks -- Animal Collective? Never heard of? Come the F on. This is like the 2nd most influential alternative band of the 00's
