Just watched that last night before shooting off fireworks.DallasEast;4611907 said:It was actually May 1977, but...
Star Wars. Final answer.
I caught a ONE minute preview in the theater during the previous December. My anticipation was out of this world for nearly six months waiting for that movie.
I can still feel the excitement I felt the moment I read "A long long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..." on the screen. I was in awe from that moment on.

That brings back memories, Mike. I've always had a sort of a love/hate thing about the ocean. Still do. Love the beauty, the beach and swimming in the surf. I've even been deep sea fishing and gone on a couple cruises. Still a little scared, in the back of my mind, about what's swimming around "down there"... lol.MichaelWinicki;4611880 said:For me the ultimate summer movie of my youth was "Jaws".
It stunned me watching it as a teenager in the summer of 1975.
It was everything good & potentially evil about summer all wrapped into one.

Wasn't Die Hard With A Vengence set in a New York City summer?
