Your go to homemade sandwich

I'm boring with my sandwiches. Either plain bologna, ham, or Spam with mustard and two slices of bread and I'm good. My wife will "church" up sandwiches, and doesn't understand why I would stick to a very basic sandwich. Growing up it was quick and easy to make and in a couple of minutes I was back outside to play. It just stuck with me.

Corned beef Reuben on rye with EXTRA sauerkraut .

Or

BLT with Miracle Whip instead of mayo.

I don't really have a go to.

I did stop earlier today and got myself a turkey/bacon with mayo, lettuce, green peppers, tomato, banana peppers, pickles and provolone cheese.

I love a good reuben.

Whenever I go to Montreal I make it a point to get a smoked meat sandwich from one of the two places famous for them.

some of my go to sandwiches in no particular order
Katz Deli - Pastrami on rye with mustard
Bacon egg and cheese on roll
sausage egg and cheese on bagel
chicken parm hero
lox, red onion, tomato, cream cheese on a pumpernickel bagel
Spicy Italian combo on a roll must have oil and vinegar
roast beef pepper jack cheese cold slaw tomato on a roll
grilled cheese with tomato and bacon
Thumbs up on the Katz Deli Pastrami sandwich, plenty of spicy brown too! Finding a kick asz pastrami sandwich is near impossible in Fl, now a really good Cuban is a different story.

Can never go wrong with a turkey club. A thousand calorie sandwich that tries to trick you into thinking you are eating healthy.

For the money Arby's makes a decent ruben.

Ever since I posted in this thread I had been craving a pot roast sammy. Made a pot roast Sunday for a traditional pot roast dinner, but finally had that leftover sammy last night. Sauteed some mushrooms, onions and peppers and coarse chopped pot roast, mixed in some gravy and simmer a bit. Put all that in a toasted hoagie bun with some mayo, spicy brown mustard, lettuce and tomato, some kettle chips and an ice cold Shiner Bock. It was messy, but boy it was good, gonna do it again tonight.
