Your move, Jerry

The Eagles have won the Super Bowl. Here's a team that won the Super Bowl in 2018, tore the team down, sacked the coach, got rid of a QB to replace him with a then unknown, hired a new coach, went to a SB, lost, made changes, collapsed last year, and just won the SB. All the while the Cowboys have basically been in neutral never advancing beyond the NFC division round.

Your move, Jerry. I hate it, we all hate it, but it's happened. What are you going to do about it? What movies are we making this offseason (and I like the coaching staff so far, so that's a plus) that will have us in the game next year? Are we going to sit on our thumbs again before they return again? Or, is Jerry going to finally do what it takes to win a Super Bowl? The game next year is in San Francisco, a hated rival of ours. How sweet would it be to win it all on their turf? Jerry, your move! Make it happen!
Jerry has a Netflix special...

Jerry is going to take a nap.

jerry move =

do nothing in free agency
trade another 4th for a use less bust player
wait until training camp to do any thing with parsons contract
draft a bust michigan dl in the 1st

I think those would have been great trades. We needed to be making trades. All the more reason I'm pounding the table for the decision on Parsons to be done ASAP. Chop chop Jerry
The reality would be that trading Micah's going to delay any rebuild, plus we'd have have to 'hit' on the (say) two 1stRd'ers we get.

Well, exactly, and it's why maybe we need to make some trades, and not just with Parsons. If we're not going to win the SB anyway, maybe we should acquire as many draft picks as possible and try to build properly. Problem is, Jerry won't because he knows he probably won't be here to see the finished product.
But that smacks in the face of ......why did we extend a QB that's on the reliant/needy side of roster building.

To me, the signing of Dak wasn't the problem, perse. I think the problem was that we did it so late. I think, once we entered training camp, the negotiations should have ended. Now, the good news is, assuming we don't restructure his deal, we could June 1 him in the 2026 offseason and get $40 mil in cap space or in 2027 and get about $45 mil in cap space. So, what the Cowboys, as I've said, have an opportunity to do is have a veteran QB play while a rookie learns for a year. Look how well that's worked for Mahomes and Hurts. But, we need to get something done with Parsons soon and get the team built so that the next QB has an opportunity to succeed.

Jerry has the most expensive team in sports and does interviews in his mind he's a winner now

Now that the Eagles have won another Super Bowl and the Commanders on the way up Jerry and company better get their act together otherwise you can see the Cowboys at the bottom of the NFC for a very long time. This has to be one of if not the most important off seasons in a very long time. The question is how is Jerry going to handle it? Does he actually go "all in" and make a splash in free agency and the draft or it is business as usual with "we like our guys." Bottom line is that the pressure is all on Jerry.

Jerry already made his move. He signed Dak and CD to huge contracts.
