Your move, Jerry

Yep, and I get your frustration, but we're so low on talent (both in experienced vets, now that DLaw and Zack are presumably gone) and youngsters just not coming through I just fear who's leading this team on the field. It's time for us to see who those leaders are....yes Dak, I'm looking at you.
My problem is the/your definition of 'effort', because probably the worst decision he recently made, on the effort front, was not trading for Henry at the 2023 deadline, but it could be argued that was a blessing as if we had him be wouldn't have gotten Guyton and Beebe as we'd of lost our first.
I'd definitely make a play for a O-Line mainstay in FA, even an overpay for Stanley or Robinson and possibly a WR, but that's unlikely as we wasted a 4th on Mingo.
Take 2025 to work out thd basics behind a full court draft/FA press on the lines and see whether we start spending big in 2026....MY MAIN REASONING FOR NOT SHOWING EFFORT IN 2025....IS I WANT JERRY HURTING AND EMBARRASSED ENOUGH TO GET A GM.

The effort last year was appalling. Just to start with, the entire effort, or lack there of, last offseason was shocking. I didn't mind resigning Dak and CeeDee, but those should have been done sooner so we could have freed up cap space. Maybe we could have afforded a RB in fa if we did. Also, we would have been signing Henry, not trading. Instead, the Joneses chose to milk the process for ratings.

So, an example for this year that I want to see is them do something with Parsons sooner than later. It doesn't matter to me if they keep Parsons or trade him, but it needs to be decided on asap. That'd be a good sign that they're actually putting in effort. Then, they need to get a RB, NT, pass rush, etc. We probably won't win the SB next year anyway, but we need to at least get the team in position to win the Super Bowl in a few years. That process needs to start now.

Thats what i explained. I guess you are just one of them.

I would have loved to see the Chiefs win in the first place. Great team, great HC, really good QB. It wasnt meant to be. Philly is the way better team overall. They deserved it.

Great game.

I just hope that those here that made fun out of Hurts and said again and again how bad he is and how good our QB is finally are able to get over it and switch on theirs brains again.

But i guess they will still be *****/n just because they arent able to jump over their false egos.

Well, exactly, and their win just proved the Jones' mindset wrong. Dead wrong

Then they deserve the Eagles winning another one until they change their decision making.
He doesn't care. He really doesn't. He knows what he has to do to make us a sb contender and he refuses to do it. The eagles victory will do nothing to move him either. All he cares about is making money and keeping the Cowboys in the news. We are a reality show and that's how Jerry likes it. The less said about Stephen the better. He is worse.

We were resetting after a disastrous performance v GB (plus difficulties against pretty much any decent team).
The ACTUAL problem last year is that Jerry couldn't reset properly, he should of traded: Zack, DLaw, Osa and J-Lew.
We needed to suck before we get better, unfortunately, Jerry messed up badly and so expect more pain in 2025.
There a mindset within our fanbase that all we have to do is show interest in a FA and he's ours (or Jerry's at fault if he doesn't come) - what did we have to offer Henry that Baltimore, with its run first, dominant O-Line didn't have...he was never coming to us.

That kind of crap is why we are where we are while the Eagles are celebrating.
Problem is Jerry wants annual relevancy and from our fanbase's reaction to last year, it appears so do some of them.
If you want to be like the Eagles, you want to take on suck years and be able to accept that you can't extend everyone.

Here's the thing...the Chiefs had a poor offensive line all year and no running game. The Eagles strength was their down linemen, who could destroy the run blocking and get after the QB. Complete mismatch.

The only way we are going to be contend with that is to rebuild our lines....solid lines make Super Bowl contenders. Parsons is a part of it. Is Sam Williams good enough to be a starter on a dominant line? Is Osa? That might be the biggest question. Are we going to pay Osa to build a line like Philly has? Or should we look at using the money we would spend on him to sign Eagles free agent Milton Williams? Hurts them and helps our D. Or if we wanna go cheaper, look at Poona Ford from the Chargers. He will be half the cost of Osa and will give you a much better run defender and similar pass rush. Heck, while we are robbing the Eagles, grab Josh Sweat too. Could probably get Poona and Sweat for not much more of a cap hit than Osa would be. We also need to spend an early rounder on DT.

By the way, we lament losing guys like Dorance Armstrong, but Gholston is set up to be a similar kind of guy. Will be interesting to see if we try to resign him or let him go be a solid contributor somewhere else.

Offensive line, we need to simplify. I'd try to trade Steele for something but if not then just make the cut. He is never going to perform to the level of his contract. He is simply a bad pass blocker, he gets whipped on the first step all the time. I'd put Guyton back at RT, leave Beebe at C, consider putting Tyler Smith at LT but even keeping him at LG that gives us three spots on the OL. Let Richards, Bass, and Hoffman fight for the jobs, but also bring in a legit veteran and draft another OL in first two or three rounds.

Sign a relatively cheap free agent at RB whether it be Dowdle or someone similar like Cam Akers or Javonte Williams, and then grab a back that can compete to be the starter. If it isn't Jeanty, then one of the next prospects.

This team could compete with the right combination of moves....but if we are only going to use the draft then we are doomed to more failure.

I think those would have been great trades. We needed to be making trades. All the more reason I'm pounding the table for the decision on Parsons to be done ASAP. Chop chop Jerry

He’ll do the same stuff he does every year and nothing will change.

In fact, he’s already signaled he doesn’t think they’ll change much in FA this year.
funny how he knows that so early lol, like damn can you sit down with your guys, maybe even evaluate the players that will be free agents, the only thing he's worried about is paying his own players

Well, exactly, and it's why maybe we need to make some trades, and not just with Parsons. If we're not going to win the SB anyway, maybe we should acquire as many draft picks as possible and try to build properly. Problem is, Jerry won't because he knows he probably won't be here to see the finished product.

I'm aware, because, even if Jerry did start to do it properly, he won't be here to see the finished product. But, if we are going to win, then Jerry has to start now with the process.

Yep. The Cowboys are just a sideshow and Jerry is the carnival barker. Nothing will change.

1). Say we can't sign any free agents because of the Parsons extension
2). Sign Parsons at the last possible second when the price is even higher
3). Go 10-7 or 7-10, but as long as we get to have 'Big Trouble in Big D?' headlines, Jerry is happy

Pretty much. And it's why this franchise seems to be beyond cooked and now is approaching burned territory.

The Eagles have won the Super Bowl. Here's a team that won the Super Bowl in 2018, tore the team down, sacked the coach, got rid of a QB to replace him with a then unknown, hired a new coach, went to a SB, lost, made changes, collapsed last year, and just won the SB. All the while the Cowboys have basically been in neutral never advancing beyond the NFC division round.

Your move, Jerry. I hate it, we all hate it, but it's happened. What are you going to do about it? What movies are we making this offseason (and I like the coaching staff so far, so that's a plus) that will have us in the game next year? Are we going to sit on our thumbs again before they return again? Or, is Jerry going to finally do what it takes to win a Super Bowl? The game next year is in San Francisco, a hated rival of ours. How sweet would it be to win it all on their turf? Jerry, your move! Make it happen!
He thinks he made the right moves.
The losing is everyone else's fault
