I personally think they look horribly updated. The off gray pants look especially old. I loved the throwback jerseys they wore during the championship years in the early nineties. What are your thoughts on any potential upgrades to their current uniforms?
dont mess with the Cowboys uniform!!

#1 priority should be to get rid of the green pants. It makes no sense to keep them. They were originally changed to that color to look like the helmet' color on TV. Now that TV is high definition you don't need it to be that color. Green pants? Really?? Idiotic!!

I’ve never been a fan of the red stripe on the helmet. It was first used in the 1976 season to go along with the nation’s bi-centennial celebration.

The Cowboys in 1976 were coming off their great 1975 season where they had played in SB X, losing 21-17 to the Steelers. Expectations were high. The Cowboys went 11-3 that year and were favorites to win the SB. But….we lost to the rams in the divisional round in an upset. That loss motivated the team though. They went on to win the SB the next year…without the red stripe.

To illustrate how dominant the Cowboys were in the 70s, they played in 7 NFC championship games that decade, winning 5. 1976 was one of only 3 seasons-‘74, 76 and ‘79 where they did not play for the NFC championship.

I say this every time the uni debate comes up; Get rid of the hideous girly "giants" blue trim on the white unis. Make the blue the same blue that is on the star on the helmet, which is called True Blue. And make the pants actually silver in color.

Thanks for the article but the pants still have the green tone. Maybe they have changed a little, but still not right. Fix it, Jerry!!!

It looked more blueish gray to me, but I had to look twice

My favorite are the white ones with the blue and gray stripe down the side. Those are cold blooded.

The Cowboys should never never never never never never never NEVER go back to their royal blow/plain white numbers road jerseys. Those jerseys are cursed and caused the team to lose Super Bowl V and the 1980 NFC Championship, as well as many other games.

Today's navy blue with trimmed white numbers are much better. However, the navy blue jerseys from the early 90s were the best ever. Those were the same as today's, except with grey numbers. Go back to those, and never go back to the royal blues.

I know some fans have been calling to go back to the royal blues. If this is you, you've been influenced by the royal blue voodoo curse, and should have an exorcism immediately.

I'm quite thankful for the unis, new or old. Really glad the linemen don't have to play naked. Most of 'em would just look disturbing! :lmao:
