I'll define "loved" as loved to see play. I didn't really have an emotional attachment to any Cowboy beyond that.

1. Tony Dorsett - the reason this former Commanders can is now a Cowboys fan.
2. Deion Sanders - Mercenary? Yes! But he was the most exciting Cowboy to watch after the first one on my list.
3. Emmitt Smith - He was the Cowboys offense for much of the 90s.
4. Tony Romo - After years of futility at quarterback, he brought the excitement back to the position - good and bad.
5. Ezekiel Elliott - Ever since I saw him rum over Alabama, I wanted him on the Cowboys team. I can't believe we got him. I'm still pinching myself.

The guys I hate are a short list. Again, I don't have an emotional attachment to them. So I'll define "hated" as guys I never thought should have been in a Cowboys uniform.

1. T.O. - I warned against us signing him, and he accomplished exactly what I feared. Despite the stats, I think he defined the culture here, made us adopt a pass-oriented offense, was forced on Parcells, and stunted the growth of the franchise.
2. Greg Hardy - nuff said.
3. Demetrius Underwood - we should never have signed him. He needed mental help rather than playing football.
4. Bobby Carpenter - Parcells' favor to a former player. He was a wasted pick.
5. Joey Galloway - Wasted two No. 1s on him, which we could have used and promptly got hurt the first game of the season, after which he was persona non grata for the rest of his career with Dallas.

Until it is, he will be sitting. He shouldn't be, tho. Shame.
Yes, he should. The laws of today apply, not the laws of the future. He knew the rules, and he transgressed them. He should be sitting.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Interesting how the lists play out.

It is obvious a lot of people never got over the poster on the wall syndrome.

I don't judge players on their "human" side.

You're a day late and a dollar short to the discussion, Tyke. There's plenty of post in here from yours truly to get a firm grasp of my point of view.

Dieon is easily my favorite. If I had to pick one I hate the most it'd have to be mo. Hated that pick. Especially when they used a 1st and a 2nd on him.

Police state is getting old; oh, forgot we're free yada yada.:D Just messin but this is how I view the issue 100%.
Thomas Jefferson:
""If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so."

Gregory is being used as a scapegoat for a dated stance taken mainly for the sake of profit from outside revenue generated by the NFL via alcohol contracting and advertisement; by the league not fans. Go by the way of the NHL where they don't test and actually offer support instead of punishment; thanks for that info Haley regarding the NHL's much more modern approach. If you go out the night before a game; you're going to be sweating booze but be totally legal to suit up and play; Gregory smokes his bong at home and can't play? I personally think it's something to with a much smarter/supportive fan population with so many teams being in Canada and that being there national sport. Canada understands this issue 1000 times better than our culture (we like to blame, they like to help, etc.) and with the embrace of science n junk, etc.

I used to feel that way but I'm starting to change my position on it. We've got way too many people running around right now thinking that, because their cause is just, they can do whatever they want to.

I get that point w/ya too, but logic MUST come into play. Not pushing for a society of anarchy where everyone picks and chooses the laws they want to follow. At the same time, there are some common sense issues that seems progress can be made and almost deal the "problem away" w/common sense and poll trends with gen. public regarding legalization.

But uphill it is so heavily loaded with LEO, Pharma, Alcohol, Prison System interests' fully against it (using all the clout necessary to continue Federally via lobbying) and at the same time also only supported congressionally due to these same outside interests; marijuana definitely fits that category. It's one of our lighter cultural issues people finally garnering some common sense approaches from both sides to an exten to resolve through legislation/punishment.

I am personally just scared all the progress in that regard will revert to dated stances that have proven not to work mainly to make money in county jails for possession will reappear; along with a criminal record in some states. In DC it used to be a mandatory federal felony w/a year to serve in DC Jail aimed mainly at youths. Talk about getting screwed bf even starting...though admittedly 95% of LE let folks go for this reason until legislation recently legalized it.

But I'll humor you, it's the laws of today that I'm debating. Please read my posts. Danke
I've heard these arguments ad nauseam. They're all the same.
I stand by my comments, however. If a law is in place and you violate it, then you got what you should because you voluntarily violated the law understanding the consequences.

I've read the arguments from your side, ad nauseum (a much, much more prevalent opinion on this site), they're all the same...

Correct.
For the benefit of society and order, societies have to come to an agreement on some basic rules and laws. Otherwise, you have anarchy.

So. What does that have to do with what I said? Laws are in place for a reason. You don't have to like them, and you can work to change them. But until you do, if you violate the laws, there is a consequence. Therefore, the consequences you receive you should get because you voluntarily made the decision to go against the rules.

Ok? Thanks, Tyke. I feel enlightened.
