C'mon you guys. Cross over to the dark side. ;) If you ever get bored enough and want to catch some good anime, I recommend renting Read or Die (click here for its imdb.com page). It's a good movie that's not overbearing or long, it's pretty funny at times and has a lot of great art from start to finish. If Miss Deep (one of the characters from the film) doesn't get you interested in checking out some more anime, nothing will. :)

Superfriends. :)

Even when I was young, I couldn't stand the show. It was too kiddie oriented and it didn't follow the DC comic universe at all. My wife loves the show though, which is the main reason why I subscribe to Boomerang.

Well... that and for Justice League, which is a far, FAR superior show to SF. /rant off

BTW, the Road Runner is my most beloved Warner Bros./Looney Tunes character. "beep beep!" :D

Not an anime fan, but since I am a Batman guy, WB is releasing a 6-part anime "movie" -- BATMAN: DARK KNIGHT -- this july in conjunction with THE DARK KNIGHT. I've been privledged to get an early look and it's fantastic! Here's some info:

Thanks for the insider info. This is the first time I've heard of it coming out this summer. I love what they are going to do with his cowl.

Thanks for reminding me of FONS. I haven't seen that movie in years. The finishing moves are very bloody, but the action leading up to each fight's end look great (even though most of the fights are pretty much one sided until the end of the movie ;) ).

Didn't Evangelion premiere on Cartoon Network within the past year? I'm sorry that I didn't catch it. Sounds like a good one.

Inuyasha.

I was obsessed with this show for awhile.

I cant really get into any other ones, although i watch adult swim everynight.
I was hooked on Inuyasha from the very fist moments of episode one, where he is escaping the burning temple and avoiding spears--with a devilish smirk on his face and uttering a quick "heh heh" under his breath. Great opening scene. I've read where the manga's author has no intentions of finishing the story which is too bad. It would've been nice to see what finally happens in the end with the sacred jewel and Naruku.

There are so many great episodes to choose from, but my #1 favorites are the ones where Inuyasha's sword inherits the Backlash Wave and the Adamant Barrage. I can't tell you how many times I've watched those shows over and over (yeah, I've pretty much recorded all the episodes on CN :p: ).

Dallas East, each episode of the film is from a different creative team -- writers, director, animators, etc. Each looks different. And they went to Japan and hired true anime artists. Best animated Batman I've ever seen!

Then that's the best move that the Batman franchise has ever made. Japanese anime inserts so much graphic detail into their art that it easily puts most American-made animation to great shame. Plus, they enjoy storytelling that's doesn't stick to being linear from start to finish which makes their themes much more interesting, imo.
