No, let him prove that he can play a full season. At the least, maybe halfway through this one with a lower guaranteed portion.

He's got so many issues that go beyond just covering a wide receiver. He's an absolute liability as defender in terms of tackling. Also, the strides he's done in a week of training camp notwithstanding, I'll be swayed when I see how he responds in meaningful real-game action when guys like Brandon Marshall are barking at him and getting into his fragile psyche.
He's not a starter in base defense so stop it.$5 million a year for a starting corner would be a no brainier these days.
