Darrell Braun guitar is cool.

Here are some other guitar channels you might try out.

https://www.youtube.com/user/MrTrogly He buys, sells and reviews guitars, mostly Gibsons and some fenders. Kind of geeky guy but some of the guitars are pretty nice. And you can contact him about possible consignments.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSNxIry_FPFcQDFRbi3VOAw Guitar shop in England but they used to do a good number of reviews of all the major guitars. Older shows were much better.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMuMtNL3bLLEJ__u0kuEb-A I like this guy. A little goofy but he shows some of his gigs at bars and areas where he does looping of instruments with drum tracks and then plays over it all with guitar. Sometimes he comes up with some good stuff.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCN--LUAhUtNekrhRIC24J_A This guy is ok. Like others better but sometimes his stuff is interesting. Tends to also buy and review some of the lower priced guitars that play well.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJcYRr8rpsxVPfWA5vkuxFw This guy is pretty good. Has played with Trivium. Has older videos where he and other guitarists do videos battling each other and he has done videos where he and other youtube guitarists do colab videos.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCs9AN-WTBsWP72aewXlNKUA if you like darrell you might like this guy.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyDZai57BfE_N0SaBkKQyXg another good guy who also plays other instruments.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl16xaNY2arX3OzZBvTlsPQ Really good guitarist but is over the top silly and goofy.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCshiNtfJ7Dj3nlh41a6M-kg kind of boring but a good channel

https://www.youtube.com/user/lmsjr guy has a lot of amps. guitars and gear...nice if you like some of the 80's shred guitars type of stuff like Jackson and BC Rich.

https://www.youtube.com/user/fearedse If you like thrash, death and Genting chugging guitars, you will like this. He owns his own guitar brand Solar.

i like and use YouTube for recent sports games that i may have missed preferably full scaled games

Youtube has a tremendous selections of Martial arts movie flicks (which i'm addicted to) that i have never even seen before
or some that i yearn to see again,,

,. and it also displayed some of my past favorite classics as well. In the Heat of the Night ...Broken Arrow (1967 Western)

Ditto for horror flicks, foreign films, TV show classics etc.

the flip side is music area - songs and musicians concerts and even commercial bits from the past.

I tried their free premium service a couple of months ago. I fell in love with it. I watch it WAY more than any other service I have. I go to instructional videos mostly. Don't know how to dry age a ribeye primal? I do. Don't know how to refurbish an old cast iron pan? I do. Want to know the best pay to sharpen knives? I do. All the little things I've learned from YouTube is awesome. I go into rabbit holes all the time when I get on it.

At one time you could find a decent amount of foreign films for free on youtube, kind of current films. But they seemed to catch on to those.
I remember watching OLD BOY and the other revenge movies well before most people heard of it and they made the american version.

Thanks, man. A lot of those I have not seen, so I'll check them out. I have seen SteveTerreberry. The dude is hilarious. I also really like Fil of Wings of Pegasus. He does reviews of performances and covers of songs. I can't recommend him highly enough. I also like Rick Beato. You may have already seen him, but if you haven't, check him out. He breaks songs apart piece by piece and explains how they were created. Good stuff. I'm also a big fan of Sophie Lloyd. The first thing you'll notice is how gorgeous she is, but she's also a VERY good guitar player.

Yeah, Fil's an awesome dude and a talented musician. He reviewed Sweet by my request (and other people's). I've been intending on posting about Youtube's abuse of copyright law for a while now. They've taken down some of Fil's videos and Rick Beato's, which were clearly reviews something that's covered by fair use Copyright law exists to protect a creator's ability to make money off their work, but the law specifically was written to never be used to silence critiques. You can write a review of a book or movie for the New York Times or whomever and quote a passage from the book, but not be guilty of copyright infringement. As long as you credit the source and don't try to pass it off as your own work, you're good. No one has the right to use copyright to block their work from being reviewed. Reviews are protected by the fair use section of copyright law.

I've been meaning to bring this subject up for a while now. Fair use also protects educational use, for example, if there's a video teaching someone how to play a copyrighted song on guitar, it should not be taken down, but it often is. Copyright law exists to protect creators from having their work stolen. It was never intended to prevent reviews or education. Anyway, that's been eating at me for a while because it happened both to Fil and Rick Beato. Youtube's unreasonable and bad interpretation of copyright law has been hurting musicians.

Yes...it was not terrible but the original was much better, as well as the other two movies that went with the original Revenge triology.
Also liked I saw the Devil which I originally seen free on Youtube before it got a cult following.

It's kind of funny how some channels get hit with that. I know there are some bands or their labels that really are strict on some of that stuff. But I also think there are some haters out there that report some channels and that is the only reason they get in trouble.

I have seen plenty of channels use artists songs for reviews like you talk about and have no problem with it most of the time. Lost in Vegas is one where two guys review songs and have actually did a number of megadeth ones and Dave Mustaine gave them a shout out.

I watch all the old Rob and Big series on there. I've also been able to find some of the early seasons of Meat Eater. Every once in a while I'll get on a Fear Factor kick too.

They show a lot of clips from rediculousness (sp?) on line as well.

Youtube is also good for talk show clips and or SNL.

You get the better clips or sections without all of the boring filler.

I like watching the Graham Norton clips online.

Also love finding the old Celebrity Roasts with Dean Martin, Don Rickles and esp the ones with Foster Brooks.

I watch Ridiculousness daily but through cable on MTV. It pretty much stays on in the background at my house all day. I don't guess MTV shows videos anymore because Ridiculousness is on every time I turn it on.

I'll have to check out the roasts. I could just look at Don Rickles and start laughing. Love that dude.

I'll also catch the old Trading Spaces from back in the early 2000s with my wife. We were dirt poor back then with our first child and we'd always watch that together both for entertainment and remodeling ideas. I think it still come on but we like the old ones.

I have some of those roasts on DVD. They were insanely funny back in the day. Some of the humor didn't age well, but that's to be expected.

The ultimate ridiculous one was where Rhett Shull got a copyright strike for playing a guitar solo that he made up himself. He had done some guitar work for another band on their CD, but it was his work. Plus, there's no way the band would have objected. It must have been someone at the recording label with an okole-hole so tight it could make diamonds. I get that copyright needs to protect people's work, but giving someone a strike for something he created is beyond absurd.

And Rhett Shull is another Youtube channel I recommend. His video are top notch.

that's interesting that " I saw the Devil " would be on YouTube,..i would have thought the gore and content would be too graphic for YouTube.
Whenever i cannot such a movie flick on YouTube, i turn and check to see if TUBI has it available since it 's free also.
And TUBI also has a few classic though not on the level of YouTube. Although i do worry now since FOX has recently bought it out.

I have become a youtube nut.
I think I watch more youtube at home on my TV that regular cable channels.

I subscribed to a good number of channels.

I will also find myself becoming interested in a topic and finding multiple channels on that topic that I will watch. Some of them eventually lose my interest and I will remove the channels are not watch as much of later.

There are a number of different topics I follow a number of channels on...for instance...

Auditors channels - some 1st some 2nd amendment auditors some a combination. Some I like much better than others of course, some I have watched and hated so I basically remove them from the recommended channels list.

When I know I looking forward to buying a product I find my self watching large numbers of videos of the product such as unboxing and review videos. I do this when I am looking to get a new phone. Have done that when looking to buy a new weapon.

There are a number of fishing channels I follow. Some channels that are fishing but also other stuff like the channel deer meat for dinner...does a good deal of fishing but also some hunting.

There is one that is called off the ranch that covers a bunch of different things but I only watch when he is working on the abandoned mansion series. He bought a half completed mansion in texas and is redoing it and eventually plans to move in.

There are a couple where a young couple are building their homes on their own and looks like they are building as they get the money. One is a couple in WV called Wild Wonderful off grid. The other is a couple that has been making their home out of shipping containers.

I have watched some channels that do outdoor survival stuff.

One guy does old dwellings in the woods like a saxon house or viking house.

I have watched some videos of companies that make bunkers.

Currently I have found myself getting into ASMR type video and Haircutting videos. It is crazy to watch the ones from Japan where a hair cutting session can be 1-2 hours including other services that go with it.

I have a number of videos that are night time ocean waves that I tend to play during the night for a soothing auditory background.

So...this could be a thread to talk about topics you like on youtube.

If someone is interested in the same topics maybe we can share some channel names so you can subscribe or try them out.
