Shocked i tell you.So essentially the Cowboys paid the fine.
What a clown show this front office is....So essentially the Cowboys paid the fine.
Not really the guy lost the money no matter how you trying to hide it he was going to get this money no matter what I don't believe he needed to hold out either way he's short the $1 million you can't make that back cause you don't know how much you would have got paid in the first place so now you have to take his close to 7.5 million over the next two years and he got a raise and I need to take the million off it if he didn't hold out he probably would have got the same money so he would still have $1 million more no matter how you try to do the math that's a fact. In my opinion if he would have done this behind closed doors and we never heard of it Jerry would have told him to wait till next offseason don't hold out and I'm going to get you your money this year was pretty much all guaranteed anyway he already got it all up front so he could have just came in and played and they could have just gave them this same money next offseason before the season started to make everything fully guaranteed until he probably retires so he paid that fine, regardless of how you do the math.So essentially the Cowboys paid the fine.
They did what any team would have done. What a clown show this front office is....
You know Parson's and Lamb's agents are just waiting to take advantage of Jerry.
There is blood in the water and the sharks are circling...

I like how you're trying to make stuff up I think Zach Martin of all people who are typically healthy he's been consistent and he's one of our best players deserve the money he didn't have to go about it this way in my opinion and no they did not pay the fine and lamb and Parsons are gonna get paid regardless if they went somewhere else they would get the same money so don't get it twisted they're not taking advantage of Jerry you wanted to go into this year without Zach Martin the man got an extra $7 million over the next two years add an extra year to help spread out the dead cap I mean I don't see how that is a lost for either side you acting like he just clowned Jerry he didn't Jerry basically gave me this money but that does not forgive the fine he would have got this money anyway... So everyone in here always trying to make fun of Jerry this was the right thing to do we need Zach Martin the next two seasons to finish whatever this small window of opportunity we have and with the lack of any really big time prospects behind Zach Martin this year this is the smartest thing they could have done..What a clown show this front office is....

TY! 100% no doubtThey did what any team would have done.
You tell yourself whatever you need to.Not really the guy lost the money no matter how you trying to hide it he was going to get this money no matter what I don't believe he needed to hold out either way he's short the $1 million you can't make that back cause you don't know how much you would have got paid in the first place so now you have to take his close to 7.5 million over the next two years and he got a raise and I need to take the million off it if he didn't hold out he probably would have got the same money so he would still have $1 million more no matter how you try to do the math that's a fact. I didn't see that it was guaranteed. I would think the bonus is guaranteed but not the base for next year. If they fully guaranteed all of it, that changes things. The motivation for Martin to come to an agreement would be if that $18 million base next year is not guaranteed.I'd be happy with $36M guaranteed the next 2 years.
Martin deserves it. We all know how important he is to the OL.
Don't the players still get to write these fines off as donations? The money will not be lost because the additional revenue will require some tax relief. They did what any team would have done.
LOL.Not really the guy lost the money no matter how you trying to hide it he was going to get this money no matter what I don't believe he needed to hold out either way he's short the $1 million you can't make that back cause you don't know how much you would have got paid in the first place so now you have to take his close to 7.5 million over the next two years and he got a raise and I need to take the million off it if he didn't hold out he probably would have got the same money so he would still have $1 million more no matter how you try to do the math that's a fact. Maybe , maybe not. They did what any team would have done.
He will be restructured again next year then the question down the road is an extension. If he’s still playing at a similar lever it’s very likely he gets a extension and more voidable yearsI'd be happy with $36M guaranteed the next 2 years.
Martin deserves it. We all know how important he is to the OL.
company man. Trying to take Mick's place sucking up to the JonesLOL.
Geezus, doesn't it get old constantly slurping at the nibblets of the Jones'?
His new deal was for $36,850,000. It doesn't strike you as odd that the "change" on the new millions given to him is exactly the same amount as the fine? That contract number is precisely what it is because the Cowboys agreed to cover the fine.
Holy NO PUNCTUATION Batman!!I like how you're trying to make stuff up I think Zach Martin of all people who are typically healthy he's been consistent and he's one of our best players deserve the money he didn't have to go about it this way in my opinion and no they did not pay the fine and lamb and Parsons are gonna get paid regardless if they went somewhere else they would get the same money so don't get it twisted they're not taking advantage of Jerry you wanted to go into this year without Zach Martin the man got an extra $7 million over the next two years add an extra year to help spread out the dead cap I mean I don't see how that is a lost for either side you acting like he just clowned Jerry he didn't Jerry basically gave me this money but that does not forgive the fine he would have got this money anyway... Again if you don't think the Cowboys could trade CD lamb or Micah Parsons and get a huge haul for them they would still get the same money they were gonna get from Jerry somewhere else that's just how it works the market is set when you have dudes at the top of their game going to get their first contracts they're gonna get it no matter what team gives it to them.
I mean you wanna see GM's get clowned go look around the league I mean did not Michael Thomas not get one of the richest wide receiver deals ever and hasn't really played more than two quarters of football in the last three years?? They're examples all over the NFL with players doing this to other teams when you hit your market you usually get paid if you don't get paid the team's gonna benefit like the Kansas City Chiefs did by letting Tyreek Hill they got the draft picks..
they don't have to pay that big salary and they didn't miss a beat one way or the other Jerry will either get draft picks or he will have to pay the market the same market that another team would pay. Jerry's not the only one paying market money to players it happens all over the NFL and it don't always workout and he won't be the only one to trade away a player this is just how NFL business works and you guys can always come in and try to make fun of Jerry Jones and I'm gonna keep coming in here and reminding you this happens all over sports.
