When we brought you in, my first thought was that you would instantly bring a different mental toughness to this team. It's much needed. Now is the time to show it. You are familiar with the Steelers and you must spread the importance of the mental and physical toughness to this game approach. You must emphasis how physical this game will be and your manhood will be tested. If you are not up for the task, it will show and you will be exposed to the nation and more importantly the COWBOY NATION!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the first of 4 games that will really show the Cowboys fans if this years team is mentally tough to compete in the playoffs. Whether we make it to the playoffs or not, these 4 games will truly determine if the core of this team (the recently signed multi-millionaires, Ware you too) has really figured out what it takes to win a championship in this league. Zach, now is the time to show your worth!

As a Cowboy fan, I only hope to see if these guys take a heavyweight championship aproach. Meaning, taking a chance to get knocked out, only to get back up and continue to try and knock out the opponent, mentality! No fear, no quit! The ability to fight through extreme conditions to the end. Win, lose or draw! Cowboy up! NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! DO NOT BACK DOWN UNDER ANY CONDITIONS WITHIN THE RULES!!!!!

If I see this, I will truly feel good about the direction of this team and its core players! I hope Zach still has something left in the tank for this stretch run! His mental approach is long overdue and I hope if rubs off on this franchise this years and for the years when he is no longer a Cowboy!

There is no question the future hall of famer has the mental capabilities for these type of games. Hopefully his teammates respond with him. The last time Zach Thomas spoke up the team responded. Less than two days till the game. Its taking forever!

I dont understand why the 10 other players cant lead.
Probably because the majority of them have been here through 2 miserable playoff runs. Whether it was because they weren't mentally tough(last year) or the fact that they weren't mentally tough to execute(vs Seattle), they didn't get the job done. And failed with flying colors. They are already on strike 2, as a Cowboy fan, I'm not really excited about the next pitch with their game approach! I take my chances with Mr. December, Zach Thomas!

This attitude didn't start with Wade. Wade is a scapegoat for this years slow start. All teams lose, but to be considered a Super Bowl contender, we quit vs the Rams. Mentally tough teams don't do it. It just wasn't that game. The Cowboys have displayed this since BP was coach. Its time for someone else to lead. Oh yeah, its also discouraging to see Brandon Jacobs personally ***** our "defensive enforcer" Roy Williams every years too. Whether Jacobs is running over him or Jacobs is just whooping his butt in a scuffle. Roy become the Texas Stadium groundskeeper far too much when he has to meet someone not in a WR # or isn't in an unsuspecting angle. Just my thoughts!

They had better all grow some big ones for this four game stretch. Right now many of us have written the Eagles off. And Bal has got a team.

We gotta play all four.

Different game, same story. For the 1st time in many years, I saw signs of a team that got it. Then, without warning the Cowboys decided to go back to their old ways. Romo throwing the ball without looking, the defense folding when we needed them, penalties at the worst time. It's almost comical, but ladies and gentlemen we have trouble. I'm disturbed how a team can continue to make the same mistakes for the past 5+ years and nothing has changed. There is no Quincy Carter to blame, no Campo, no Bledsoe, no BP, NO MORE EXCUSES! This team (FRANCHISE) is what it is. A team full of mentally weak and physically soft players. Players that are afraid to throw a punch in a fist fight. It's not going to work. They tease us for stretches, but always revert back to their game-quitting ways.

This just in, another Cowboy player just went down with an injury vs Pitt. I now it Monday, but a couple of guys came up lame on the plane ride back. This team has cotton balls! Sorry if that's over the line, but I'm truly frustrated.

Plain and simple.
GARBAGE! What did we bring him here for then? It certainly ain't for his age. Lead through words or by example, but lead! Someone has to change this entire franchise's mental approach and it's not Jerry.

Just ****** ridiculous.

We lost the ballgame because Romo turned the ball over several times -- though some weren't his fault -- not because of "cotton balls" or being mentally weak or anything else.

To say nothing has changed in five years... Again, ridiculous.

Yeah, players have changed from year to year, but not the core players. The same soft mentality exists and the same soft core players as well! You don't have to like it or agree with it, but proof is in the puddin!" We don't have the mental toughness, focus, or leadership that it's going to take to get over the hump. Plain and simple! Cotton Balls! My signature hasn't changed in over 3 years, so this isn't some random rant due to a loss. A familiar loss, I might add! QBs consistently turning over the ball (QC, Bledsoe, Vinny and ROMO), untimely penalties, a defense that folds in the crunch, a star player making critcal mistakes! It's the same story, different game and year!

Romo should call out ME-O after his piss poor effort for most of last night. Especially after (from what I heard) laid blame on Romo after the game.

If Zach (aka "Mr. December") was capable of carrying a team on his back, you would have thought he would have done it with the Dolphins all those years they collapsed in December under Wannstedt. At least he was in his prime back then.

The team went toe to toe with the most physical team in the NFL on their own turf. You don't hold the Steelers on a 4th and 1 goalline stand in the 4th quarter with cotton balls.

This was a simple math problem. 5 turnovers against a good team on their turf != win. The percentages of winning are miniscule.

Wannstedt wasn't exactly a great HC.

Romo should call everyone out. Aikman was never afraid to lay into his teammates when they displayed lack of effort. I think his favorite phrase was "bush" or bush league". When will Hollywood Romo start blasting players on the sideline? Jerry led the charge by calling out Barber for missing the game, just like BP called out Witten after the broken jaw. If our owner can see some signs, it might be time for the player and fans to catch on as well!

Our core players haven't changed since 2003? What? Have you looked at our roster lately?

And did you ever play sports, 50? When you lost, was it because you were gutless or a choker or soft? Or maybe, just maybe, did an equally talented and prepared opponent just do it a little bit better than you on that day?

The truth is, if Ben had lobbed up a couple of interceptions like Tony did, we win that game. That was the difference, not heart or guts across an entire team of men.

Who cares if Zach can carry this team on his shoulders! I don't even expect that. I do expect a vet to stand up and voice the importance of a mindset! That's what Zach needs to bring to the table. He goes balls to the wall on the feild and players see this. It's perfect for him to now! What player on this team (defense) has the kind of skins on the wall that Zach does? I'll take "no one" for $500! The so-called "talent" is here, but the intestinal fortitude isn't. Zach has it, he just needs to show the rest of these game-quiiter where the wizard is!

I'm just saying Zach's teams in Miami perennially were the worst choke artists in the NFL in December and January for years. So a lot of good "standing up and being a voice" and his "skins on the all" did for them. He was actually a really good player back then.

Doesn't take much for the other team to do a little extra, when the Cowboys are throwing it directly to them, or jumpin off-sides, or droppin Ints! LArry Bird said it best! It's easy to score to the 1st 46 minutes, but can you score and stop people the last 2 mintues. It's easy to see all of the light at the end of the tunnel when reflecting on the first 50+ minues, but too many Cowboy fans forget the pattern of wilting the last 5-10 mnutes when teams build a little momentum! We can't close when it counts. We expect teams to give in and teasm expect us to give in. Normally, they win that game especially in December and the playoffs!
