Nothing of real substance here. Just want to emphasize the fact the position of WILB has been immensely upgraded. It is hard for me to compare him with previous LBs since we used the 4-3 for so long but I can't think of a comparable LB without going back to Jordon.

Am I being too generous? He hasn't played for Dallas one season so I hate to compare him to an all time great but who has played at his level.

I love this guy's play.

PS: I know someone will say Coakley so I'll defuse that right here.

What we are seeing is Wade's ILB's are 220-230 and FAST. Not Parcells 250 POUND stand them up physical LB's like The Shanle, Aymodel.

Why would you do that? Zach brings what both Dat and Dexter did, speed, saavy play , and sure tackling. It's funny how fast some people forget the contributions of former players.

I've never seen anyone like Zack.....

Zack will thrive in the 3-4 because he's so fast and has big players around him. His lateral speed amazes me. HUGE upgrade.

I don't think Zack has ever had this much talent around him to play up to his true potential. In my opinion, he could have a career year if he wouldn't be rotating so much (presumably).

But since he'll likely be rotating, we may have a player that can and wants to play some foot ball for the next couple/few years.

You gotta like that red neck swagger about him, too, though he's obviously very bright and laid back at the same time. That on-the-field-off-the-field thing is interesting with him.....

Incredible Hulk?

Cool dude, I'm glad he's a Cowboy.

zach is the best thing to happen to dallas since i don't know what.

Really? You think that?
That covers a lot of ground. Me? I would say everyone from Romo to T.O. to Ware, but that's just me.

I will say this: He is the best linebacker with the name of Zach to play for the Cowboys.

i mean as of now homeboy..

Dat.

I never understood why Zach would get into the Pro Bowl year after year and Dat would be passed over. In their primes they were the same player IMHO.

I'm sorry to blow your candles out but Dat was not the player Zack is. I'm actually thinking a ways back to get as good.

Since Dallas stole Charles Haley from the Niners. That's what.

I'll tell you what: I just watched Zach's little video interview at the official site and boy, does he get it. To quote: "You can't give up an 80 yard drive and be called a great defense". I hope he holds up for another year or two...

That wasn't what I was thinking about. I was thinking about who could play LB like him particularly an inside LB.

But I like that thought as well. You're right. Huge steal for us. He looks like he could play another 2-3 years right now, too.

I was thinking about another LB of his quality playing for the Boys.

Ya know, if we had a team of players made up of the caliber of Zack Thomas and Rudy Amendola we'd be almost as good as . . . the Rice University.

This one must have gone over my head.
