Zack Martin: Tyron Smith is how God would design a left tackle

Is that Collins? Dude is massive.

To all those who say Martin is our best O-lineman....hear it from the man himself. Smith is the best LT in football and the best player on this team. He lives on an island going toe to toe with the best pass rushers on Earth. He almost always wins. Down after down. And he hasn't even reached peak O-lineman age yet. He's also a month younger than Martin. It's insane. He's insane.
Martin is how God would design a guard.

Great OGs can sometimes even play RT. Very few can play LT...or at least a Pro Bowl level.
If they could, that's where they'd be playing.

LTs (great ones anyway) are a different and rarer breed.
That's why they get drafted higher and paid more.

That's actually why what Larry Allen accomplished in his prestigious career is so amazing... The guy made the pro bowl or all pro at both LT and G.

Yep. I was very fond of Eric Williams too!
I would take Erik Williams over Larry Allen if both were available in the same draft.

LA had more raw talent, but EW had more impact on games.

LA hurt people because he could.

EW literally wanted to kill the opponent.

EW will never get the same accolades because of the car wreck, but Pre-wreck he was unbelievable.

Yes, l would too. Tough call! Williams was truly a tough nut...until the accident.
