Whether we want to admit it or not that culture of brotherhood left when Quinn took the job in DC. It's all you heard about from Commanders players this season outside of Daniels.

That's why he's excited about being part of bringing it back. Besides, it's just a word/phrase....kinda like saying, It's a Process. Lol

I wonder if Zack will even be back next season...had a great career, but he shouldn't be
I was going to ask the same question. Is Martin still on the team ? Didn't his contract expire ? He's extremely overpaid at this point. If he plays for vet minimum, I'd have him back, otherwise, take care, Zack

I can't see that. I think if he feels like going another season, he's going to want to do it as a starter and for starter pay.

Zack is a great guy and a great player. As Cowboys fans we were lucky to have him. But no one beats father Time.

It is time to let him go, and time for Zack to let his Hall of Fame career go. The team needs to move forward and give the next Zack Martins a chance to make their mark.

No animosity here. Just a desire to keep building a team year after year.

Zack go take care of the family and we will see you with the gold jacket on in a few years. You will be able to walk up the HOF podium under your own power and not with a walker.

It’s hard for “ brotherhood and gelling “ to take place when the Thanksgiving game is meaningless . Nothing fractures the lockeroom like losing

Well this isn't really saying they didn't have his back, just speaking facts
The locker room I was speaking about was where players played hard for him through the end of the season and some leaders voiced strong support for his return. Zack makes his concern here pretty clear........

Wow….the guy played injured most of the season. He was grinding in pain and limited, but trying to help the team. I’m shocked by the number of people ready to run him off the team. Not one of you knows whether or not he is still better than any backup guard we ran out there last year. His decision on retirement will tell you about his health and about the opinion coaches have about him.

If he thinks he can’t play at a high level when healthy, he probably retires.
If the coaches tell him he’s not that guy any more and he won’t be the starting right guard, then he is even more likely to retire.

After all the guy has given to the Cowboys, let’s not judge him on a season when he played through injury until he couldn’t, and let’s not pretend that guys like Bass and Hoffman or anyone else can replace him until we actually see it happen.
He held out of camp to demand more money while under contract when he was already in decline.

He was a great player and a great Cowboy, but let’s not make him into a saint.
