Za'Darius Smith

Von Miller would kill it here with DLaw and Parsons.

Not to mention the intangibles.

I'd personally go for it and add Wagner also but there's just no way they do it.

For some reason they think that getting over the hump is gonna happen by adding rookies.
heard C Jones is available didn't know this he the type can play inside or out..hmm

I think something like 2/38 with the same 28 guaranteed as Gregory would probably land Miller.

Smith will be expensive as well and want a longer deal.

Ingram would be much cheaper but you're getting what you pay for.

This draft is deep with edge guys so they will most likely sign Armstrong and roll with Basham for depth and draft a mid round type.

That sounds more like wanting to hang on to status quo rather than improve but that's how they do.
19 per no way that why hes still out tehre ..maybe 15 max sorry but Miller is solid player but not at that much. i see what you are saying only 14 guaranteed but still

See? This guy gets it! "That sounds more like wanting to hang on to status quo rather than improve but that's how they do." How long have we been seeing this same 'ole same 'ole nonproductive mindset?

you said it didn't matter rusher is rusher and i say that not always true..
Tank and Aldon preferred hands in the dirt doesn’t mean they can’t.They’re true DE’s.Vonn is true OLB and wouldn’t have to change a thing.Again, a pass rusher is a pass rusher.Plain and simple.Statement was regarding Vonn.

Yeah it's a lot but I think someone else may give him that.

Maybe he is at the point where the highest bid won't matter.

I really don't think they go this route. They just never do. It's good and it's bad but at some point you've gotta take your shot....not like a Rams shot but really try to improve with a win now veteran or two.

It's not as if he costs draft picks also. Same with Wagner.

so Denver going after and paying abit more for Gregory is them trying to improve but us wanting our player back is status quo..umm cant be both..we have lost 3 players to bigger money so i guess they had value so status quo cant be bad..i mean come on cant you see the irony..

Browns giving up some draft and paying ACs large salary
Denver steals Gregory

MIA gave Wilson 8mil for a #2/3 role and Cwill 7.5 mil

so if we were to match and keep them this place says its we like our guys status quo and that not improve yet other teams pay to improve with the same players. Huh:eek::confused::banghead:

Miller waned to go back to Denver and now seeing the DC lost Gregory to Denver and him being a TX Boy Twitter is blowgin on Vonns strong interest in coming here..maybe he takes tad less to come home..:)smoke is beginning

I usually don't like signing players on the wrong side of 30, but this is a nice match.

For the Cowboys, we're only speaking of the Cowboys, so yes, it is status quo. Quit over paying for mediocre talent just to "keep" them. How has it worked for the Cowboys in the last, say, 25 years? That was the gist of my response to his post. But, you laid it out so beautifully. Status quo. Maybe it's time to change it up a bit. Let mediocre leave, draft better and try big game hunting in free agency sometimes.. Change it up. We've been :banghead: for the last 25+ years.

A pass rusher is a pass rusher regardless of scheme. We run more hybrid front anyway. Not strictly a 4-3 front and Marinelli isn’t here to say it’s not a scheme fit.Gregory often rushed standing up.Quinn would make it work.
yes and a no. Ware was a 3-4 OLB. when we switched him to a 4-3 DE he struggled. so it depends on your comfort level having your hands on the ground like a 4-3 DE or rush standing up from a 3-4 position. for example Lawrence wasn't comfortable at all rushing from standup position couple of years back when Nolan tried to use him differently, so they went back to him rushing with his hands down.

also, as a 4-3 LB, you drop into coverage against slot recievers, TEs and RBs....can miller do that. honestly I don't know, outside of he is a great pass rusher while in denver and he played in a 3-4, thus my question

I'm surprised his name hasn't come up yet. Same age as Gregory. Much more production than Gregory and may cost about the same or less than Gregory. Thoughts?

I didn't even know he was out there. This guy is like Tank with a pass rush. I'd love this signing.

My favorite thing about Quinn. Outside of him being a hands on teacher, he schemes based on the talent around him. He's not a guy that tries to force a square peg in a round hole.
