This is one of the big, if not the biggest problems with prosecution in the USA. Elliott's father essentially committed one crime, but is being charged with 21 different crimes. This should not be allowable in a free and fair society. I'm not arguing for the innocence of Elliott's father. But being charged with 21 different crimes is prosecutorial misconduct.
