Talk about an exaggeration. Zeke was arguably behind THE best O-line of the 2010s and was force fed the ball. Are we going to sit here and suggest Ezekiel Elliott was more productive than freakin' Barry Sanders through their first 50 games? That's just one RB off the top of my head. That doesn't even get into OTHER positions in the league.
To be fair the OP did say production not talent..Zeke was very productive in those starts thats is undebatable.

Thats his fault eh?. When he did good it was the o line. When we couldnt break off some playoffs smackdowns its of course zekes.
lol didnt say anything about fault.
I just said if your going to look at stats, look at playoff game stats. I dont even know what that would show, good or bad.

Reflecting on Zeke’s time here led me to the realization that he’s arguably the most productive player in NFL history through his first 50 games.

Edge James and LT are the only guys with more yards from scrimmage in their first 50. But Edge had 206 more yards in 137 more touches, while LT had 125 more yards in 88 more touches.

Obviously Zeke trumped both those guys in yards per touch by a lot and is just barely behind in overall yards.

I’d argue that Zeke is the most productive player in NFL history through 50 games. He actually earned that contract. Unfortunately it didn’t pan out and Zeke really only had one more good season.

Different perspective from the common view that Zeke was never worth a big deal.
With this being a "what have you done for me lately" league, Zeke's first 50 games don't matter.

That's the tough spot management gets put in. You don't want to pay for past performance, and it's difficult to predict future performance. With RB the cliff approaches rapidly. It's funny because the same FO chose not to pay Demarco. As good as Zeke was I'm not sure he had a single season better than Demarcos 2014.

Zeke was special, no doubt. Also true that Zeke ran behind two Hall-of-Famers, an all-pro center, and two above-average lineman. He had as his shield: The Great Wall of Dallas.

He actually earned that contract. Unfortunately it didn’t pan out and Zeke really only had one more good season.

Zeke hadn't finished his rookie contract when Jerry offered him a contract 40% higher than any other RB, and at a position that has no longevity, and limited relative value.

Memorize this people: Contracts are given not on past accomplishments but on expected future value. "Deservin's got Nothing to Do With it"
