Zeke Db's Don't Want to Tackle Me Smart to Say?

I wish he would stop giving it away that he is looking to set the tone early.

He's going to get everyone's best when he keeps talking like that.

And he can take it, sure. But the cumulative effect is not what we want.
The cumulative effect is felt far more by the opponent. When they give their best early they fatigue quicker.

It's almost comical to aee them slapping each other on the back for stopping Zeke early in the first quarter for a 2 yard gain.

But as the game progresses the celebrations begin to fade so that even when they do stop him that once or twice more for a short gain they are too worn out to care.

1:39, just make a cut! Take the yards in front of you. I care far more about getting those extra yards, which may even be enough to take it to the house, rather than making some early game statement. We all know he's tough.

All you do is complain about our players. Do you even like the team. You complain about Dak, complain about Zeke. You're like a broken record on here, why not just go to a Eagles board

It ain't bragging when you back it up.

I don't really care if it's bragging or not. His statement sure doesn't offend me...I sometimes enjoy some trash talking.

That said, his blurb certainly challenges the the manhood of corners...not sure if the goal is to win...that making that kind of statement helps anything.

As for deliberately looking for collisions...We all loved Marion Barber for running into people, and that can have an effect, I suppose.

That said...It did seem to shorten Barber's career.

3/4 of the way down the article Zeke makes a comment which could be taken worse then maybe it is intended how do you feel about this type of possible Bulletin Board material.

I love his confidence and his physicality he shows in all phases of the game But i ask is it smart to make these comments?

Part of me say yeah Tell em 2 times and another side of me says stay a little humble let your work tell the tale. #cowboysproblems:flagwave:

I like it to be honest, we need some edge without the criminal in Dallas with players who are impact players.

He is letting them know that he is going to punish them at the second level and beyond!

I know where you are coming from, but I've always been of the opinion you can talk all you want so long as you don't make a liar of yourself and fail to back your words up.

In Zeke's case, he's telling the truefus rufus...so far.

its a contact sport and they dont want no part of his contact. Why do fans get so emo about a player playing a violent game telling it like it is?

I would love to see him do that LOL i will settle for landon collins too
He's already done that..... Check out #58 for the eagles on the first first down......and the run towards the end zone carrying three dude's. Or the first down run in the third quarter. All against the eagles.

Not really sure what fans get so Emo means ?

But since you referenced me by replying to my thread directly i just asked if it was smart to call out Db's like that and not let your play do the talking. Will it bring added attention by his comments being twisted since i didn't feel they were as bad as some may conclude.

I agree it is obvious in his play ---- but do you think it is smart to possibly give Db's extra motivation by saying it ----- they still may not be able to do anything about it but could provide unnecessary bulletin board material

Leadership-wise, I think Zeke is going to be this era's closest thing to Irvin.

Pretty much. Normally I cringe at "bulletin board quotes" but man I just don't care. He's confident in himself, honestly doesn't come off as a ******** while boasting (like Sherman ) and clearly his swagger is infectious to the team. With Daks low key humility it's a great balance. So let the kid have his fun til someone shuts him up
