Zeke is on pace for 2,000 rushing yards. Just check the numbers.

Wait, you say...your math is wonky. There are 16 games, you say. 16 x 104 yards = 1664 yards. That's well short of 2k...so Zeke can't be on pace for 2k.

So Y2K?

Simple. Factor in the of the caliber of the defense. The Giants last season were the third stingiest in the league and only allowed 3.6 yards per carry.

The reality is that 104 yards against the Giants is equivalent to 130 yards against an average team. And it's reasonable to expect there will be games where Zeke goes full "Feast Mode" ...runs for 160, which will compensate for days like yesterday.

130 x 16= 2080

Too many conversions involved for me. I'll just wait until we're about halfway done with the season to get a feel for if he is ACTUALLY on pace for 2k

Wouldn't want him to get the carries necessary for 2,000 yards rushing.

I'd expect a drop-off the following season.

To me 2,000 yards rushing is one of the most hollow of stats out there.

I might agree with you on your first point. There might be a minor injury along the way or there might be a blow-out where we want to rest him. Our tough schedule could in fact help the race for 2k as we're more likely to be in lots of close games.

I think a race for 2k would be a lot of fun.

Not quite sure the math adds up. lol

When folks do data modeling for something like a hurricane...they just don't make projections based on current speed, size. They factor in the known variables...and expected variables.

Minus 6 games is how much? LOL

2346 yards and 2 and 7/16ths of an inch... approximately

Did you also add in Variables of Injury and Suspension?

You can't carry over last years stats to this year. It just doesn't work that way.

This is like listening to my wife telling me how she saved $20 buying yet another pair of shoes because they were on sale.

Really?

Did you also add in Variables of Injury and Suspension?

I'm not privy to enough info on suspension to weigh that.

It would be interesting to do a real mathematical model on the scenario. Even missing one game would all but sink any hopes of 2k. So I freely concede: if he sustains any kind of injury...it won't happen.

Unless you get 2106. Then yeah, otherwise it's meaningless.
