Zeke & Pollard are the MVP of this team not Dak or Micah

Romo might be a great OC for us if JJ could buy him out of the booth. Not sure if Romo wants to even go there but you are right about his eventual ability to read defenses.

No way in hell Romo gives up 18-20 million a year for the grind of coaching for half as much money.

This offense will go far as the running game with its ability to set up the passing game. The running game does many wonders like protecting the OL by allowing them to run block being their strong suit and help chip in pass protection. The persistence of the run game forces defenses to change game plan, coverages, schemes, and obliterate blue prints by DCs making Dak’s life easier.

For the defense it keeps them fresh to pass rush at max effort for the entire game. In addition the ability to control T.O.P protects Micah and this defense from its achilles heel “stopping the run”. Which has cost Cowboys many leads and many play-off games.

McCarthy and Moore needs to run from pro-style set and not shotgun while making sure Zeke & Pollard are active for four quarters.

Zeke isnt the MVP of anything. If we had to pick an MVP it would be Pollard. The guy that made the pro bowl. If anything, Zeke continues to hold back Pollard and our offense by getting the carries that he does. Zeke should be short yardage and mop up only.

Agreed more consistency in using the running game is needed. What I don't understand is how they managed to remember this all while Rush was starting but have struggled with it since Dak came back. There have been times when they have done it but as you say no consistency. And they are still running horribly designed plays.. Like that stupid delay draw where they don't block the backside end but instead pull the backside tackle which any halfwit DE will immediately see and just follow him to the play.

You want more consistency then stop giving so many carries to the overpaid has been.

Who made the pro bowl Zeke or Pollard?

GAME. SET, MATCH!!!!

Perceptions don't skew stats.. stats skew perceptions. You can't "skew" stats... Stats represent facts which cannot be altered. Only interpreted. There are 5 running backs in the entire NFL with more TDs than Zeke. Yet in your mind "any big back" can do what he does. If that's the case why can't Pollard do it? Pollard is not even half as successful on goal line runs as Zeke is.. No he is not a big back but if scoring in close is so easy why does he fail to score on 2/3 of his carries while Zeke scores on half of his? Is the 10 pound weight difference really that big? I think we need to quit trying to minimize Zeke's contributions to this team. Why can't we just enjoy what both guys do? I certainly have no problem doing so!

Absolutely any decent back can do what he does. Which is not much by the way. What are Zeke's contributions to this team? Taking carries away from our pro bowl back?

Falling down? Getting stuffed? Running into tacklers? Bleeding our salary cap dry?

No on both fatal 3rd down plays the JAX defense essentially forced the ball to go to Brown. He failed to step up in both cases. So they were indeed correct in assuming they could double Lamb, send pressure to keep Schultz and Pollard in.

And hence why we need TY Hilton. TY makes both those plays.

False.. Pollard has 11 carries inside the 10.. and has scored on 3 of them. Zeke has 20 carries inside the 10 and has scored on 9 of them. The math says Zeke is simply better in those situations. Why is that simple fact so hard for people to accept?

Ones a RB the others a left guard playing RB he should be better at the 1

it is a team game, rb's cant do much without good blocking.
they all have to do their part to succeed.

I get irritated by RB's and WR's who act like they scored the td's by themselves lol.

I agree Pollard is the best offensive Weapon even over CD Lamb but that doesn’t override what Zeke brings to the table. Zeke has 800 yards & 10 TDs that came in clutch situation from 3rd & 1, 4th & 1, and even game winning TD. Their biggest asset is the ability to control tempo and TOP of the game which elevate the entire defense to elite status which that gives the team a chance to win a SB.

Then why don't all teams just line up a guard at running back in goal to go situations. Since, you know.. pretty much any fat dude can do it.

Zeke?

Give it a rest, and stop the Zeke worship.

Pollard and Parson’s are the offensive and defensive MVPs of this team.

Zeke is nowhere near the conversation.

Right now Zeke is more than Parsons, he's been too quiet

The defense prior to being injury plagued is the MVP. Now it's on Quinn and Jerry to figure out how to keep it at 80% until everyone is healthy.

Lewis and Brown are gone for the year and Hankins MIGHT make it back for the playoffs. Tank and Parsons are clearly suffering a variety of issues related to wear and tear and LVE just hurt his neck (again.) This defense is not going to be healthy the rest of this season. They need to figure out how to hold up with what they have.

That is right! Romo has received enough grief from Cowboys "fans". He doesn;t need MORE.

He's great at his new job, he loves it...football fans love it too. No need to *** it up.

10 TDs says you are wrong and his contribution to controlling TOP makes him top defensive player even though he doesn’t play defense.
I don't get the Zeke hate....he plays hard and he plays hurt....some fans don't appreciate that....then again, those fans probably never played.
