Got this link from PFF in my inbox today and clicked on it.
It was an article about the best backs in the NFL and how they performed in various situations. Imagine my surprise when I read this:
"
• Dallas Cowboys grinding it out in the red zone: The Cowboys generated positive EPA on 46.5% of their red-zone rushes to lead the NFL.
Ezekiel Elliott moved the chains on 41.0% of his attempts, the best rate among the 31 qualifying backs."
How can a guy who we are assured is completely washed, useless, bad at football and all other crap posted here, be the BEST CHAIN MOVER IN THE GAME! Not top 20, not top 10, not even top 5.. Numero Uno. He was also the #2 rated red zone back in the league.
How is this possible?
I await the wise counsel of the group...
(edit) Maybe that's why Belichik is interested. He knows the value of moving the chains and punching it in when you get close. Most smart coaches do.
