I was convinced when I saw Zeke beat Alabama and Oregon that he would transform the Cowboys if we were able to get him.
When the draft came up, I thought it was a no brainer that he should be drafted 4th overall.
And once we drafted him I felt like he should obviously be the next #22. I feel like we missed out on a real chance to establish another tradition along the lines of #88.
I think slowly but surely, people are starting the recognize this kid's talent. Will he break Emmitt's record? Probably not. It's more of a longevity and durability record than a productivity based on talent alone record.
Naysayers will say that it has only been 9 games, but they're the same people who said we shouldn't give him #22, the same people who said that Alfred Morris should be the starter, the same people who said we shouldn't draft him in the first place. How many times do you want to be wrong here?
I would rather him make a name for himself and the #21. I'm not opposed to players getting former great players numbers so that is not really an issue for me I would just as soon Zeke make his own mark
