Zeke should have gotten #22

I'm glad he's number 21. I'd rather think of Zeke with that number then Dion.
When I think of Dion, I think of the fall of the Dallas Cowboys.

Why is that? Signing Deion had a lot to do with that third ring. Joey Galloway reminds of the downfall, not a player that was very productive for us and helped us get a ring.

I was born in the 80s so I remember Deion being arguably the most exciting player to watch when he had the ball in his hand. I also remember playing my Sefa Genesis Deion Sanders Primetime, good times.

I felt Dion was all about Dion. All about getting paid over team.
just my opinion.

I was convinced when I saw Zeke beat Alabama and Oregon that he would transform the Cowboys if we were able to get him.

When the draft came up, I thought it was a no brainer that he should be drafted 4th overall.

And once we drafted him I felt like he should obviously be the next #22. I feel like we missed out on a real chance to establish another tradition along the lines of #88.

I think slowly but surely, people are starting the recognize this kid's talent. Will he break Emmitt's record? Probably not. It's more of a longevity and durability record than a productivity based on talent alone record.

Naysayers will say that it has only been 9 games, but they're the same people who said we shouldn't give him #22, the same people who said that Alfred Morris should be the starter, the same people who said we shouldn't draft him in the first place. How many times do you want to be wrong here?
I don't really care about the number. Emmitt didn't wear #33. I think #21 looks good. There are some numbers that would look weird, but #21 is not one of them. Morris in #46 looks weird.

21 is perfect, because it reminds us of Zeke's age.

Jim Brown, RB 22 1958
Walter Payton, RB 23 1977
Dan Marino 23 1984

Emmitt Smith 24 1993

I've never been a fan of recycling numbers. I don't even like that he has 21 because it's so common. 22 was great by Emmitt because not a lot of RBs had that, even to this day. I wish Zeke had chosen a weird number like 38 or 43.

I just have to say that I have never agreed with your posts in the past and think that most of what you come up with is ridiculous.

Having said that this one might be your worst post of many.

I thought he would, I was hoping.
