Our young RB has the best game of his career. Immediately the aging veteran not only complains about his role to the staff, he talks about it in the press as well instead of just keeping it in house.

Our veteran ‘leadership’ is nonexistent.

Thanks @Ranching

I am a fan. Believe me, If the cowboys manage to win the Super Bowl this year. I would make a t shirt that says I heart Jerry jones and wear it around.

I would love to be proven wrong.
Famous last words. Would you....would you really LOVE to be proven wrong?

doubt it....you'd rather be right, right?

He feels he can contribute more.......I think he can too( in the red zone )

If we are going to continue to make Elliott one of our two backs to get snaps, then I agree with him that we should use him in short-yardage situations. I'd prefer that we bring up Cook and give him a try splitting carries with Dowdle.

I didn't want Zeke back, but he is making a good point. WTH is he even doing here if not to punch it in at the goal line and in short yardage. I mean think about if Dak had not recovered that Dowdle fumble and we lost. Even the biggest Zeke antagonist would be screaming about why we didn't have him in there to pound it in at the goal line. It's just terrible player management, no matter how you feel about the guy.
I think coaches sometimes get caught up in riding the hot hand or trying to reward a player for his effort. Dowdle had been instrumental on the winning drive, so they left him in there without taking into account the situation. If Elliott is going to have a role on this team, it has to be those situations. It should be automatic. Maybe it will be after the fumble.

The worn out crap is the saying, we root for him, but them rip him for trying to be better. Laughing and ridiculing. But, yeah, Zeke!
:rolleyes::rolleyes:
I really don’t understand your problem.

I am stating a fact, that Zeke is no longer good, while still giving him his credit for being one of our all time greats. His time has just come man. It’s pretty obvious.

I love the player for what he’s given us over the years, but I don’t love what he brings to the table now. I would never root for or cheer on his collapse. I am however, a bit upset with our front office for not addressing the running back position in a more responsible manner if they actually wanted to be competitive and put their best foot forward.

Is that really too difficult to understand or are you dead set on trying to instigate a stupid fight?

Don't try to make something out of it that it's not Steve. Some of us just trust Dowdle's abilities more than Zekes at this point in Zeke's career. When Zeke was younger that wouldn't have been the case, but now it is.
He’s being intentionally obtuse. Everyone knows that Zeke has unfortunately reached the end of the road, despite his awesome career achievements.

He has a good point. Goal line? He is pretty deadly. Dowdle coughed up the ball and almost cost us the game.

Sort of feeling like the offensive staff and FO are having some differences of opinion on players.

I’ll say this much, I would much rather have Zeke than Deuce.

That said, Zeke should not be part of the main offense. He should be relegated to short yardage situations and when we need an extra pass protector.

Send a real message to the team and cut that fat bum. This team is a joke.

You know who would have helped a lot more than Zeke? Just saying....

Or who would have paired really well with Zeke?
