Zeke will not win a championship in today's NFL

Football is the ultimate team sport.

What’s hilarious is that for the last two years people have been lamenting that Romo never had a team good enough to win a championship with.

Then in a playoff game where the defense gives up 250+ yards rushing and gets zero turnovers. Those same posters want to blame Dak and the offense.

Priceless.
Lol. Everyone is blaming the defense. Yes, some are also rightly giving some to Dak and the offense. There is enough for everyone.

Stop.

The D was awful.

The Rams begged the Cowboys to pass on them, and outside of the opening drive Dak was awful too in the first half. That greatly contributed putting the team behind the 8-ball the remainder of the game.

What was Daks record last year without Zeke...lol. He barely won 1 game this year without him to one of the worst teams in the league.

That's a a product of Tyron being out not Zeke lol.

Dak's record this year without Zeke is 1-0, and the offense had it's 2nd largest scoring output of the season without him. Claiming he barely won(which he carried us) while our offense was great and defense was poor it really silly.

Because there were nice big holes for him to run through right?

Kind of hard to get anything when you’re hit 3 yards behind the LOS.

Rams focused on the run game. They knew if they take Zeke out, they’d win. Everyone said the Rams weakness was their secondary and we couldn’t take advantage. Instead, they kept running Zeke into a brick wall.

The whole team as a whole failed miserably. It was a poor showing in all aspects.

Would help if he had a little blocking. But he looked like he was being tackled easy. Linehan could have used something different that running into suh and the other monster.

He had 1 broken tackle Saturday according to PFF. That's on 20 carries. Or 1 BT per 20 carries.

Doesn't seem like he should be immune to criticism.

Both sides of the ball lost this game. But this thread is about Zeke so my comment was only addressing that.

I wasn’t talking about your comments.

End of the day. The defense didn’t play well enough to realistically win the game.

The offense would have needed to be almost perfect to win. They weren’t.

End of season.

One game isn't enough to make any kind of a conclusion.

All you have to do is watch what happens when Smith runs instead of Zeke. He has a decent run or two, but is bottled up 80% of the time. Zeke gets yards when there's little or no hole, Smith gets stopped for no gain or maybe a yard in those cases. This year he had 44 carries for a 2.9 average, not a huge number of carries but enough to show he's not the runner Zeke is...

Shouldn't have to break tackles, the holes should be there. I saw at least 10 carries by the Gurley and Anderson where there was a hole 2-3 yards wide, just imagine what Zeke could do with that...

And we still would have had our 2nd largest scoring output...... lol

If we lose because Odell plays, that's even more on the defense.

You didn't help yourself out at all

Our "best running back in the league" should not have to break tackles..... ummm okay bud.

That's the plan. Of course you won't always have a hole to run through, but breaking tackles slows a runner down, leading to less yards total.

And if you think Zeke doesn't normally break tackles in games you're not watching the games very closely...

All season was "Dak has to have perfect conditions around him to perform" and "good players make the players around them better blah blah blah". Now Zeke has one game without optimal holes created and it's "he didn't have any holes to run through"

KEEP THAT SAME ENERGY PEOPLE

Other teams scheme when they have a good idea that the other team will focus on the run. Does JG/SL even know how to use the passing game as an extension of the run?

If Dak and Zeke can avoid major injuries over the next few years (define few), with their attitude, desire and drive to be the best BOTH WILL WIN A SB. They're young, hungry and so far the fat arse contract that weighs many down, hasn't weighed them down. Keep 'em lean and hungry. Feed the beasts
