Zeke's appreciation thread

Thank you for your first 4 years. Those were amazing. Then you held out for more money. After that it went downhill.

Zeke may feel rejuvenated at a new locale , train hard this offseason because this was a wakeup call, and have another decent season or two. He is still quite young. Young enough to be successful in the right circumstances with the right team. He's just not going to get paid as much as he was.
$$$$$$ are the main reason he was released. He produced almost 900 yards last season, but his price tag said he needed to produce 1500.
He can still play a role somewhere.

Zeke has been the third best Cowboys RB in team history behind only HOFers Emmitt and Tony D. His rookie year he provided some of the most exciting plays in Cowboys history. That great game he had against the Steelers in Pittsburgh was unforgettable.

Wishing Zeke all the best.

Zeke played injured the last two years.

"
"After playing through a partially torn posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, Elliott missed two games in 2022 after suffering a hyperextension of the same knee. The running back termed the injury torn medial collateral ligament."

Salvation Army will miss him

For as good as Zeke was for a few years, he didn't total half the yards or TD's Emmitt the great did. That record will never be broken.

A different team and coaches...that valued a real run game. KM's run game consisted of three straight delay hand offs up the crowded middle then pass 50 times the rest of the game.

"feature him"......that lost me immediately, in regards to a KMoore-led offense. He is pass-happy. Let the LAChargers deal with that now. And I hope you're satisfied, now that Zeke is gone. On to the next annointed Fall Guy besides Dak. You know how the Board does it. All good.
So who featured zeke the last 4 years in our run game?

Zeke was good, he had a lot of hype at Ohio State. We should have drafted Ramsey and its an open and shut case.
Henry was drafted a round later and has just been a much better player.
Zeke was drafted because Jerry was trying to recreate the triplets. He was good in 2016.

Correct..... Especially in today's pass happy league.

Except for his first season and the kidnapping thing, he was not exceptional in any way.
